Yesterday I was bummed out. My friend was suppose to come by and pick up some parts for his truck at the auto parts store that I work at. He called to say he would not be able to make it. He has a wrecker that he repos cars with at night. He was out late Thursday, and a car in front of him began to drive crazy. The guy pulls in front of him blocking the road steps out of the car with a ski mask and a pistol trying to car jack him. He ducked down and punched it. Nearly taking the guys door off. After they got away he called the police and the guys were found about a mile away. Their car disabled they were arrested. Turns out they were two minors 15 and 16 years of age, they still had the gun in the car and the ski mask. One kid was denied bail, so I'm sure its not his first dance. What is happening to the kids today! They could have killed someone. My friend was not injured but he was somewhat shaken up. It damaged his wrecker a little but I just cannot believe what these kids attemped. They were brought up on a charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon. I hope they try them as adults. Do the adult crime, you do the adult time. Too much playing Grand theft auto! Sorry I had to vent!

Well I could say too much exposure to senseless violence on the television and in computer games and of course easy access to guns....but that would be too obvious.
Glad you friend is ok. When you mentioned that he is a repo man, I thought it was going to end up being pissed off 'client'!

Them kids shoulda have been home helping their parents make Halloween props, that whats wrong with todays youth, they need constructive meaniful activities.
If it Bleeds, IT MUST BE CUT!

Blakkheart - glad your friend's okay. Damage to the truck can be repaired.
I agree with you on throwing the book at those kids...they're old enough to take responsibility for what they've done.
As for the fault? Piss-poor parenting.
Probably came from homes where the parents let other things raise their kids (yeah...TV and video games are the obvious culprit...but don't discount over scheduling kids either...sports and activities back to back all day long, all year long, so the parents don't have to bother raising the kids - that's also bad parenting).
Either that, or the parents simply don't give a damn one way or the other.
In any case, I fault the parents, but think the kids should pay the price.
Good thing for those kids that your friend doesn't have a permit to carry a weapon. That could have been messy.Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
2009 photos and 2008 photos ...uhmmm...and what I have evolving...

Ugly Joe, you hit the nail on the head. That guy has plenty of guns, but as a repo man he is not allowed to carry. Hell, he even has an M1 rifle that his grandfather gave him from the war. We do live in Texas you know. LOL I'm just worried about what will happen in court. I'm a worry wart sometimes. I've known him since grade school he's been a good friend all these years. If he go's to court I will ask if I can attend. I want to see these ----- punks myself.
