Joe, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dads friend, its hard on them.
My hubby retired a year ago, he was a union steward, teamsters, and the guy that took over for him was a buddy, we got a call the other day he passed away, he had knee surgury, was progressing nicely, when coming home from the store, dropped dead in the front yard. He was 41. It really hit hubby hard. Mortality hits you in the face when things like this happen.

Just stopped by to wish ya a happy weekend and hope it goes however you want it to... I seem a little 'blah' today, best cure for that is BIG LOTS see if HAlloween is OUT ..think it is because there is only one week left til school starts. yea I am one of those parents... I DESPISE the earliness of the school schedule... Usually, even when I have a job my schedule doesn't have me go in til about 10 or 11am..I hate being RUSHED in the morning... only way to avoid that is get up wayyyyyy before the kids.

Anyway--HAPPY WEEKEND!
got friends coming over today to chill & grill (even if it Monsoons, I want a steak, lol!)

Bethene I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I would imagine that is sort of a reallity check when things like that happen, it really makes you think about how short life really is
Biglots huh Moon?? Well you should be cured when you go because our Biglots has all of tis hallloween stuff out, hope you find something that can pick your spirits up Its raining here, looks like the kind of rain that will last most of the day. Glad we got the lawn cut and done yesterday. I decided to skip garage sales today. Five weekends in a row was enough for now. Hoping to get some stuff done around the house and some school shopping for the boys done. Im going to try and actually go on a date with hubby tonight. Want to go see that movie Time Travelers Wife! Dont know if Ill actually make it but thats the goal for today Have a wonderful and fabulous weekend you guys!

Just dropping by to say have a good Saturday,every one! I am procrastinating right now, have a turtle tank to clean, but no, saying hi to all you good folks, I do hope to get to a cemetery today, been trying for weeks, but need someone to go with me, the ones I want to see aren't in the best area in town, so am leary of going my self, I sure hope I can, if not, they all aren't going any where!LOL!

Bethene - wow, my condolences for the loss of a friend...and they lost him "just like that"?? Just wow.
Did anyone ever discover the cause?
I'd invite you along today, as I'm going to check out a graveyard a couple cities over - have never been, and they have some graves dating back to the civil war...but I think if you tried to join, the drive would be a bit rough.

SpookiMama - sounds like a good indoor day. Prop building!! Hope the plans for your date go right! Let us know what you think of that movie.

Sorry to hear about the immobilized arm - always seems, that as soon as you can't use a hand/arm, that's exactly when you need it (I always end up with an itch on my nose as soon as my hands are covered in something I want nowhere near my face).

My dept. 56 gypsy was waiting on me when I got home. She is awesome. I tried to get one for Christmas last year and everyone was sold out. I was surprised they were offering them again. AND I got Alice's new license plate in. It says "VACANCY"

JOE!!! {{{HUGS}}} Soreness is easing up some. I was actually able to sleep on my sides last night instead of just my back. Everyday is better. Haven't taken anything except tylenol. Hate narcotics. Would rather hurt, but I am doing well.

Hey all, hope everyone's having an awesome weekend! Brandy, good to hear everything went well, hope you have a speedy recovery.
Oooh, I am SO happy the weather here is fantastic today- getting the canoe out for the first time in *years*, and washing all the gear up for a ride tomorrow. Can't believe how psyched I am, it's a little weird... but it took a while to get the crossbars and eyebolts hooked up to Jeepers Creepers.
Went to the eye doctor first thing this morning, and I've got those stupid drops in, can't see worth poop to type here...

yes condolensces to Bethene- 41 is rough I don't like when mortality comes knocking at the door period.

BRANDY-- I LOVE the idea for Alice's New License plate. That is so awesome! She is soo pretty

JOE-- We have a cemetery like that here in Sanford. There is actually a Slave section in it. I love to go and just read the stones. You should check out ghosties web site she has some awesome pics on there of headstones and cemeteries she has visited.

SPOOKI-- up here north west of O-town n rain yet today..probably not til I have to drive WEDNESDAY to the train station in Deland, LOL-- Wicked storm yesterday though That time of year.. I see we may be looking at a hurricane for next weekend.. *Shrug* whatever, let me know *IF* we go under warning hehehehe

other then that...never made it by Big Lots today, maybe tomorow, we'll see

Today is cleaning/laundry/homework day. Nothing exciting there. Last night was the Bronco's first pre-season game. It was so painful to watch I turned it off.

I'm selling some stuff on craigslist today. There's just too much crap around here.

Moon - do you have any luck with your charms? My charms/hexes work on other people but not myself. My back could use some healing vibes.
