Quick flyby to say hello to all - life's just being it's usual around here...had an Amber Alert for a kid with Down's Syndrome who'd gone walkabout (he finally turned up the next day) and cops everywhere checking for him...lots of street work...went visiting some cemeteries and other locations for good photographic opportunities...gym...wishing I could get more time to sleep and be on the computer...

Went to my mom's gravesite today to say hi - it's been 10 years today that she passed away.
Funny how it doesn't settle on me until "big" events (10 being a big number for years)...spent a lot of the day in my head, even though we were out and about. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Hope everyone's doing okay - BW, hope you're feeling a lot better, and Lynn, your family's in my thoughts.

edited to add: Oh, thought this was kind of funny - caught it in an Anaheim cemetery...Potter and Weisel buried next to each other.
(admittedly, the name Weisel isn't exactly Weasley, but c'mon...this is just too much of "life imitating art" to let it pass by without a chuckle)

Don't get me wrong - I love the Harry Potter series of books...but just how odd to find these two stones next to each other (I can't recall the dates on the named markers next to them, but they're quite old)

Well after we got there. I so need to invest in a GPS thattell me where to go

Went to far south on the oh no BT wound up like in the WORST section of Orlando too boot. Stuck in traffic because MADD was conducting a "checkpoint"-- Funny thing is ..there was NO Alcohol nor anyone had been drinking..WHY was I paranoid???? LMAO!!! Old habits die hard, I guess... Cops and NUNS I still twitch

We asked directions he had no idea.. SO instead of making a U-turn and going back THRU the checkpoint & receiving a ticket because Gab was on WEDNESDAY's lap..... Caroline pulled up her GPS on her phone..there in 10 minutes.

Here's a couple of pics (lousey thanks to my phone..Wednesday forgot the camera) we hung out with J LaRose. It is soo cool when an Actor is down to earth and just like a 'friend'..he remembered the kids from Tampa and conversation asked Gabb all kinds of stuff..then at the end of the night said to us, I will see you guys @ Spookie Empire in October, right?

I said yes.. but I am thinking HOPEFULLY with VIP TIX.(because for 3 days @ 175 which includes all meet n greets, seminars, ect, Zombie walk and cocktail partiy w celebs is pretty darn good! Zona Con wants 40 just for Saturday)

The cast also upgraded our seats to VIp so we were right down in front on comfy couches. They included Gab alot she had a ball

got home @ around 4:30 am and was busy all day gettin things ready for today.

Up date on my sister in law.... she's doing a little better, but I feel deep down that she isn't going to come out of the Hospice care. They aren't saying that though. It just seems that they are only trying to keep her comfortable.

My best friend had a break down this weekend too...... just so much going on in her life right now that she was crying while we were working on the haunted house ! She is similar to me with halloween... So I know that if she was crying while doing something fun... ITS BAD. Luckily its not her health but feel so bad for her ! And I just don't know what to do to help! Between crap at her job, crap from her husband ( whom I think she should leave ), going through a remodel, money issues..... its too much for her !
GAWD I hate it ! I would like to just take her away from it all!

Sorry about all the negativity.... just seems to be whats happening right now!

I would love to go to Hauntcon.... I haven't gotten to go to any of the shows. I keep telling myself "maybe next year".

I was thinking earlier about the weekend and how I'll enjoy sleeping most of it. Then remembered I have my Cubs game on Sat. with my sister. If only the Cubs weren't so boring this year I'd be more excited. If it didn't cost so much to drink there too, I'd just have a few. Guess me and my sister will be doing some wandering around Wrigley Field if it gets boring. I'm crossing my fingers that one of the better starters is pitching, it's looking like he might.

You should go!!!!! I had a great time when it was in Denver.

Decided to get my Dean fix. So happen to watch an episode that takes place in Chicago. I love that they got a phone # and actually used a Chicago area code.
