oh, man oh man, Annea, I remember THAT comedy...it was a huge hit over here when the Global network would play it...for a while the British reruns saved them in the ratings..
Karl Malden was sort of expected...he had been REALLY sick for a while...friend of mine in the biz saw him about a year ago and he was breathing REALLY slow and moving slower...big friend of Brando...he was able to tease him about being overweight and would always say something like:"DON'T make ANOTHER western...they ALWAYS turn out BAD FOR YOU.." And Marlon would give him a high pitched giggle...(Marlon lost his shirt making ONE EYED JACKS. He saw the spaghetti western coming in a big way and figured ONE EYED JACKS would be so big he could retire. Instead he had to work another ten years to pay it off...Karl was in it with him..)
