Tunguska-sized space rock buzzes Earth - space - 02 March 2009 - New Scientist
The rock is estimated to be as big as the one that exploded over Siberia, the "Tunguska Event". Last October NASA spotted a rock as big as a VW Bug three days before it hit Africa.
Earth gets hit by tiny asteroids every day, etween 20 and 30 strikes per day. A big one hit over the Yucatan 65,000,000 years ago that wiped out the dinosaurs. One of these days.....

Reading about that kind of stuff always makes the petty stuff going on here at home seem that much more insignificant.
