Just saw this last night. Told as a Fairy Tale, women will love it. The scene involving a Tug Boat and a U-Boat during WWII is awesome. Brad Pitt was great in the role, subtle, humble, lonely. The film was adapted by the same guy who wrote Forrest Gump, but Pitt's character is more facetted. I found it inetesting that the lead charater is, like Gump, a Southern loner, an outsider. And he also encounters severl off-beat characters in the course of his life. "Baby Benjamin" is a puppet, but the make-up is the real scene stealer in this one. The main character changes from a wizzened old man the size of a small child through middle-age spread to young man to teenager.
It held the attention of our four-year-old daughter, and that's saying something!
