Three years ago when I was working 12 hour shift in the mill I was working
the fourth floor packing rolls of yarn on palets for shipping when another
worker came back there to see what I was doing. This fella was one of these
that walks around and see how irritated he can get you! I guess that night I
guess it was my turn. Anybody that knows me knows if you pick at me you'd
better be able to take it because I give as good as I recieve! We were going
back and forth......He'd ask me if I was gonna do any work and I'd reply,
"Why? Do you need somebody to show you how it's done?" That sort of stuff.
Then he tried changing his tactics....
I told him I had to take two pallets down to the basement and leave them in
the tunnel that connected the two buildings. He asked me if I had seen the
ghost down there. I just looked at him and said, "The ghost?" He said, "Yeah,
and it's a mean one!" I told him I hadn't seen that one but I had seen the
headless ghost wandering around back here! You most of the fourth floor was
used for storage and I was the only one working back there. He asked me
what headless ghost?
I told him the story of the worker a few years back that had been waiting for
the elevator and stuck his head through the small window to see if it was
comming and it cut his head off! (This was a true story, It actually happened)
I told him every now and then you'll see his ghost wandering around back here
searching for his head! I told him as long as you keep your distance you have
nothing to worry about as long as you keep your distance....get too close and
he'll try to get your head!
I had him. He tried to scare me, but I scared him! Suddenly he had to get
back to work and he left in a hurry! I didn't see him anymore for several nights. A
friend of mine told me he told him he didn't like to go back there by himself
because of a ghost, so I told him what I had done and we had a good laugh
about it!
Wanna here something funny though? When I was talking to my supervisor
about it she told me that the elevator I used in my story was the actual
elevator where the worker had lost his head! How's that for a surprise ending?
