    Hurricane Ike Is Headed to Houston:

    Harris County areas in ZIP code areas: 77058, 77059, 77062, 77520, 77546, 77571, 77586 and 77598

    Matagorda County

    Jackson County

    Orange County

    Parts of San Patricio County

    I Hope that all my friend that Live in the Houston or surrounding area will be Safe and Dry, as we say In Texas Hunker Down...

    Ike is a Cat 2 at the momment with 100 mph winds, excepted to hit galstons head on..10 mph movement will be here Friday night/Sat Morning at 12am

    I hear ya Blinky! I'm in Richmond, and I've got kinfolk in Brazoria Cty. Looks like they're dodging this bullet, but I doubt that Galveston will. I'm hoping that it won't be too bad for the island and that the whole bay area doesn't flood...

    In any case, "hunker down" is right! I hope anyone in low-lying areas of SE TX & W LA got out already or are headed out in the morning. I've got houseguests from the coastal plain, and others that should be leaving in the morning to come up this way if they know what's good for 'em.

    Let's keep our heads down and meet back here after Ike goes on about his business! Fingers crossed, and thinking positive thoughts!
