This is not related to Halloween really, But we rescued a kitten from our local Humane Society... My wife named it Bella.. I wanted to name him Salem but she said that sounds like a boy name ...Just wanted to share with my freinds...Any tips on getting it to be freinds with our other cat we have had 6years... ??? They are seperated and we are acclamating the kitten slowly to her new home one room at a time...

Nice looking cat. I'm not a cat person so I can't give tips on that. There's also (in the general thread) a post of Halloween Forum Pets. That would also be a great place to show Bella and ask questions.
Good Luck.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Great to hear you rescued a cat! She's very cute.
I rescued two cats two years ago after our 13 year old passed. The key is to not rush introducing them. The best way is to keep them completely separated for about a month. Let them smell each other from under the door. Give Bella a cat bed or towel to cuddle with for a week and get her scent all over. Then trade that item with one of the senior cat's. You can't go too slowly in this process. After a couple of weeks, take Bella to another room, and let the senior go in and sniff around for a while. Then trade back. After about a month you can introduce them in Bella's room and they'll already be familiar with each other's scent. They'll very likely fight occasionally, but that's completely normal. They have to work out who the alpha is, so there's really no avoiding it. I've researched this quite a bit and have done it several times now and patience is your best friend in this process.
I wish you guys the best of luck with Bella!! Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll answer them if I know.

pumpkinman....congratulations on the new addition. Not to long ago here I also brought home another rescue cat. This poor cat was wanted by no one because at the rescue center she did not show well. She always tried to claw people & after spending a few minutes meeting her they would move on.
I found her on pet savers & she had been at the rescue place for a yr. & a half. She was a little fiesty when she moved in but after awhile her & the 2 dogs & the other cat have all made friends. NOW......if she had been a he that would have never worked with Charlie my tom cat. So I think its got a lot to do with personalities.........whatever you do....with a cat you have had for 6 yrs. & then coming home with a kitten I would be real careful of leaving them alone together until you are absolutely sure they are gonna get along.

"Bella" is "Mr. Tuxedo!" –

Looks like the same markings except Mr. Tuxedo is a very old pussycat.
I have used Mr. Tucky in my advertising for The Ravens Grin inn for many years. He is in a picture of the house looming over the roof thanks to photoshop now a shirt picture as of today!
It is amazing how many people have seen this picture and think he is actually this large!
He would be as big as a small dinosaur! (and it hasn't made the headlines as of yet?)
Mr. Tuxedo was an actor in my spookhouse kitchen for years scaring and impressing people.
He stole the spotlight one time when I said something to him and he knodded his head in agreement! I didn't see this happen but a customer did and was most impressed with my cat-training ability! hahahah! (He might have trained me?)"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"
