....okay my wonderful friends, things are about to majorly change around here in the Laurie S. and family household. After five years of being a stay-at-home Mom, I am starting work TOMORROW as a teacher's aid at an elementary school until I complete my own teaching certification. AND, our twin sons are beginning Kindergarten together at another elementary school this Friday morning. I'm excited, I'm nervous, I'm goin' through the weird emotions of accepting the fact that my kids are growing up faster than I'm prepared for, I'm trying to remember my deep breathing ...anyway......sure could use a few good thoughts from y'all, and just knowing you will be here for me to come home to and check in with is already makin' all this easier---so very glad you guys are a part of my life!!! Thank you!!

Well at least your twins have eachother so they wont be left all alone. First day at school knowing nobody is nerve racking. Dont be nervous about a new job either .....excited yes but nervous no....When nervous you make mistakes just gotta keep a cool head and go at it like you have been doing this for 20 years

Aw I remember the first day of Kindergarten jitters. I would take my boys down to the school to meet their teacher a few days school actually started so they could see their room and get to know the teacher one on one. The teacher would usually ask them to help her get the room set up so when they started on the first day they were familiar with the room and they had something to talk about with the other kids.

As far as the new job, just remember you have the training, you can do this, and make it fun.

Oh Laurie girl I remember being exactly where you are. I too stayed at home with my boys until they were in school. You are about to start a very exciting chapter in your life. I also taught when I was younger. I loved it. You are going to be fine girlfriend. Really you are. You will probably be tired but it will be well worth it. The discussion at dinner will now be so exciting you know hearing about what happened at school today. Kindergarten has the best stories Just remember to make every event at your kids school. You dont want to miss any of those. And here is a tip. Try to see if its possible to get your husband to attend an event or two as well. I use to have my husband attend the all day field day event, and the annual Turkey Trot (where they run a mile around the neighborhood and then play games in the field) He is so grateful I signed him up for those now. He said it wouldnt have occured to him since I alwasy made every event anyway.. He always made those two events every year and others as well like the Fathers day event.Anyway, you are going to have a blast working with other kids and hearing about your own boys day will be a blast as well. Good luck girl and you have all my good vibes going your way.

Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

You are having some big changes! But you'll do great I just know it. You have such a great and outgoing personality, everybody is going to love you. I bet the boys are excited, even if they are nervous. Having each other sure will help.

Sending you good vibes and a hug!

Think of it this way, you have the best of both worlds. You get to work while your kids are in school and you got to stay home with them the first 5 years of their life.

They're starting their education and you're making money, it's all good all around. Plus you get home with them.

    Purely and simply evil
