We got good news today!!!!!

Just got back from the appointment with mom's chemo oncologist. None of the cancer is life threatening!!!!!!

She will have a hormone shot and bone building shot once a month from now until something changes. She will have 10 radiation treatments on her shoulder to prevent the bone from breaking and to ease the pain. She will have another PET scan in 3 months to see how the treatments are working and continued checkups to keep a check on how things are progressing. This is going to be a chronic problem and changes in treatment will happen, but no chemo til it becomes absolutely necessary. He doesn't see that happening for quite some time.

Fantastic, maleficent! When anyone is faced with something like cancer, it sure makes you appreciate the people that are in your lives that much more. Thanks for sharing the good news. Buckaneerbabe is right, prayer works!
