The heat index here in South Georgia is 105 today. My oldest son and I just finished cutting the grass. He's still outside weed-eating and his old man is back in the air conditioning fussing to you guys. He said, "Go inside, Dad. I'll finish it up"...............MAN, my kids are awesome..

Just wanted to remind you guys to take it easy in this mess. Dehydration can sneak up on you, and many people suffer heat exhaustion and stroke every year. Sometimes fatal. So PLEASE be careful in those gardens, guys.

OH LORD, I have to keep you away from my wife, Jackie. She is from Alberta, Canada and she is convinced that she is gonna' move me up north one day. We both love cold weather, so I may entertain the idea one day.

The air so teems with many a ghostly shape, no way appears whereby I may escape--

    hehe What's her email addy?

You love the cold? I personally hate it, but not a big fan of extreme heat and ESPECIALLY humidity! Both the hubby and I grew up here, so I don't see us moving anytime soon.

Its horrible here in North Carolina already. I swear we go from Winter to Summer right away

I just put some cardboard boxes in front of my big flower pots of impatients on my front porch & watered them good.

I did not get a chance yet to go & buy those big shades you put on your porch to take the sun off of it in the afternoon. Without those shades my flowers can't take the heat on my porch! I can't believe its this hot...... they say next week will all be in the 90's. Ugh!!

90 on the gulf coast of Texas. 60% humidity too so it feels like 100.
