EWWWWWW!!!!
I spent this boiling weekend CAMPING with 15 8 year olds along with zillions of other Girl Scouts at the Hershey Park Camp-O-Ree and yes, it was as hellish as it sounds.
I just want to crawl into my refrigerator and sleep for about a week.

Lord, y'all's pictures on this thread are hilarious! It's good to have a laugh in this oppressive heat! I curse all the blazing, happy little sunshines on our 10-day forecast....our dog doesn't even want to play ball!! His life, his one true love!! He'd die for that ball, and now he just takes it with him to seek the blissful shadows under our deck.....OH, global warming!! Won't you have mercy on us???!

It's definitely good to be back, I missed you guys!! But the upside is, I DID finish my first pvc monster with good results, although he's minus a face (I have to order it)...pictures to come....and I probably killed a few brain cells working on him indoors like I did on a couple of occasions, but it was that or a heat stroke..at least the fans were running on all cylinders....

Yeah it's gonna be like high 90's here all week. My Grandma calls me today and leaves me a message if I can pick her up an electric blanket while I'm at Macy's. I was sure she had finally lost it for good...I mean, I know old folks get cold...but um..it's 97. Finally she explained to me she figured they would be on sale now so she could have one for next winter. Also...does anyone else remember school ever closing because it was too hot??! We had no AC in my school and had plenty of 90+ days and they never..ever..EVER closed school due to heat. But it looks like the kids will have a few days off this week in my town if it's over 95.

Well now...it looks like you all need a dose of Washington rain. We might see the sun next week, if we are lucky! But it's always green here.
