Or the 'What Has Really Ticked Me Off Today Thread' *breeeeeeeeathing*

Okay, looking for a job. I have no educaction, very little work experience so I'm looing for chintzy jobs. I'm not an idiot. I know that's all I can get until I can save up for some education. So I'm on Craigslist because our newspapers are useless and I'm looking at dishwasher jobs. Dishwasher. And I swear I'm not making this up, every blasted one of them wants someone with experience. Washing dishes. Are you kidding me?? I had an interview for a personal shopper job. Didn't get that. Apparently I'm too stupid so shop for groceries. So here I am ranting at no one and every other word out of my mouth is the ultra naughty one. Bombs Away, I tell you. Not good. So okay, this is irritating the crap out of me so I'll print out some exercises that I want to start to do. They are in an online article and of course there's no printer friendly version. Okay, not a problem. Copied it all and pasted it in Word. Word cut off half the pictures. grrrrrrrrrrrr. I had to do a screen cap section by section, save them with Photohop, repaste them all into word as jpgs and that worked. grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Not to mention I just finished watching The Orphanage so I was sitting here sobbing. Damn that Del Toro. He sure knows how to stick it to ya.

And to top it all off, I have to do my raging quietly because OEJ's sleeping. He has to work in a couple hours and he needs his beauty rest. Has to be prit-ty for the customers.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, how is everyone else this evening?

Thats what friends are for. Talk to some friends about a job. I've had friends recommend me for some jobs that I was not qualified for, but I've always had a desire to learn and did very well at them. Get your foot in the door. Then find a better job. Good luck and be patient. You didn't want that job anyway. Because the grass is always greener on the other side. You just have to climb the gate or break it down.

I talked to a friend about a job and she kept telling me to come where she works, blah blah. Well, it turns out it's a good thing I dragged my feet on that one because they just laid everybody off in the department I'd have been put in and my friend who's been there for several years is having a hard time getting hours now in her department.

I have nothing new to complain about today. Just the same old stuff ticking me off so I'll patiently wait for someone else to vent.

You're right. Without any education, you could only end up as, oh I don't know...an auditor.

I understand what you're saying, as an entry into any area, it is that much harder without the piece of paper...just really hate it when people sell themselves short.

You don't have ANY education? Raised by wolves....er...wolves with Internet access?

When I was a college peon, I literally walked door to door at the shopping centers and inquired within. They don't typically post jobs on boards or in the paper. Places like Lowes and HD should be hiring for summer outdoor L&G, for instance. Movie Theaters need ticket takers.

    Good luck!

Hi sorry to hear of your setbacks you don't write as though you have "little education", so try not to be so down on yourself.
If this is the rant thread here it goes; I'm an animal lover, I've got chickens, turkeys, geese and one duck, in the last couple weeks my birds have been disappearring due to the neighbours dog which is left to wander wherever, when I've told him what its doing he denies it even though the dog has a mouthful feathers the last straw came last night when it took pavarotti my ancient duck, I'll have to pay him a visit (when he's not stoned) and teach him some good old anglo-saxon words! And to top it all its still raining

It would be a shame if that dog ended up at the pound.
