Those of you who remember and love Spike TV's MXC (or it's original, unedited incarnation, Takeshi's Castle) Rejoice! On June 24th ABC introduces 'Wipeout' in which each week, 24 contestants will compete for $50,000.00. Most MXC fans will recognize common elements here, of Dope On A Rope, Log Rollers, and The Rotating Surfboard Of Death. OH GOOD LORD, that show was a hoot. I'm not sure which was funnier; the contestants jumping those surfboards, or the dubbed-over english commentary..

And the clip of the new show looks just as fun. I gotta' watch that.

Yeah, the thing that's puzzling me right now is that the ABC website mentions John Henson (of Talk Soup and currently TV Guide Channel fame) as one of three hosts. The problem with that is that his entry on IMDB has no mention of this. The Wipeout entry lists 4 other names as hosts, but not him..
