Does anyone else just get totally excited when they feel the impending doom of a darkening sky and quickly approaching thunderstorm? Seems like we never got a really great storm this year here so I'm stoked about the rain pelting the window and the rumble of thunder I can feel in the floorboards. Time to shut the computer down and look out the windows...yippy !!

Yellow Moon, I am so jealous of you right now! Good thunderstorms are one of my very favorite things in the whole world, I love them! As long as they stay just short of becoming tornadoes that might blow the house down ;-)...the darkening sky is beautiful and I love the way the air smells right before the rain gets started--if it's not cold rain sometimes I even go out on the driveway during them. Wonderful.

I have to agree! I've always loved a great storm! I like them a little less now since I have my own house, but I still get excited. The only thing that worries me since I now have a home is clogged gutters that overflow, and the potential for a subpump issue. Other than that, BRING IT ON!! We just got a really bad round of storms today, but I missed them for the most part.

When I visited my mother's family in Nebraska I was so impressed with the daily showing of thunderstorms. Now I can understand why she freaked out whenever a thunderstorm was brewing near our home in Washington. Intense doesn't even begin to describe the Thunderstorms in Nebraska...but they are a thing of beauty!

Yellow-moon, I also just love thunderstorms, as long as they don't get all tornado-y on me! As long as it doesn't get too windy, I love it camping, all cozy in my RV ( wouldn't like it tenting though)- the sound of the rain is so much louder, it's cool!
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Oh yes. Storms are great and so is just plain rain and even a drizzle, I'll enjoy for shizzle.

I love rain so much, I have a couple of recordings of rain that I will sometimes play, just because I like the sound of it!!
    "WHAT'S out there?"

"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"
