The same question every year.
This year I decided that we are going to work on Halloween props, as a family.
So whacha doin' for Mother's Day?

Leaving the kid with the hubby and enjoying a day of going to different cemeteries and taking pictures of the tombstones. PERFECT !!!!!

Wow, BOTH of you ladies have great plans!! I'm jealous.
We're going to my husband's grandmother's farm Saturday for lunch, gotta take some covered dishes to that...Sunday we're having lunch with my mom and brother, he'll be home to visit. Other than that, I think I'm gonna hit my husband up for a massage..he said he's taking our kids shopping for Mother's Day, but he hasn't done it yet. I know him. He'll be at Wal-mart Sunday morning, very last minute.

I'm taking my mom to an area restaurant called the Higgins-Hardesty House on Saturday afternoon for 'High Tea'. It's a historic home converted to a restaurant, really cool. She'll love it. And on Sunday my family is taking me out to dinner.

Mother's Day is depressing for me sometimes because I have no mom. With everything else going on this year, this might be a bad year. I try to do something nice for my dad's new wife (It's been 10 years and I still call her new, heh), but for the past couple of years we haven't been able to afford more than a card. And there's OEJ's mom too. *sigh*

I don't have any mom's either. My youngest son is in New Zealand and my other son will be spending his time with the new mommy at his house. As you get older I think you have a better chance of being spoiled on Mother's Day when you have daughters. Poor me. I feel like Eyore! But I will make it a fun day anyway. Thanks for noticing my post (says Eyore).

My mom has been gone along time, it is amazing how much i still miss her. I was 32 when she died, and it affected alot of things in my life. Hubby's mom passed three years ago, I miss her too, I had the worlds best MIL. She always had my back when I needed her.
As for me this year, my kids will be over, have dinner and hang out. That is the best present any one could give me, time with my kids. Everyone is very busy, so don't spend as much time together as I would like.I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

One way to celebrate the mom's who have passed or not living near us is to cook her favorite meal or one of your favorites that she used to make. Remembering all the good times had together over special meals or even the everyday meals. It's a great way to connect with her.
