Well I did it. I bought my first place. It's a coach home (basically like a condo). 2 bedrooms, 2 bath. Instead of being 15 minutes from work I'm now about 25-30, so not bad at all.

It's taking a lot of getting used to, but I'm starting to get used to things gradually, like the lack of money.

I have a balcony so I'll be able to do some Halloween stuff on there. I figure so not to freak out the neighbors completely I'll probably just have skeletons playing cards on the balcony or something this year. With lots of light up pumpkins.

Now it's time to go bake some cookies.

Congrats on the new home. It's always a relief when you finally own your own home, no landlord to ask to do anything. We bought ours 3 years ago this September. Didn't realize how great it was until I decorated for the holidays...both Christmas and Halloween.

Hope all goes well for you and you have nothing but good luck with it, no major problems or anything...the downside to ownership!!

    Congrats...

I second that! (Knocking on wood..), but we've been lucky so far. Except that we had to replace the roof.

Congratulations, Mrs. Myers, enjoy your new home!! Sounds like you've got a wonderful idea for the balcony at Halloween, that'll look very cool!
