Thread: Attention Virginia members

So...Auditor and I have been chatting, and we think it would be a great idea for those of us who live in the great Commonwealth of Virginia to get together for a little meet n' greet. You guys have any suggestions for how we might accomplish this? And any suggestions for a location? Time frame?

I'd be soooo psyched to meet some of you guys in person!!!

What are your thoughts????

P.S. We'd be pleased to meet those of you not technically from VA, but close enough to get here, so feel free to chime in!

Depending on when and where. We are moving full time to our home in NC just a bit south of Greensboro hopefully by mid June. There are several members near that area who are interested in some kind of get together. I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread.

Let's see...from my neck of the woods, 'tis about 8 hours to Savannah, roughly 10 to Atlanta and Dahlonega...add about 2 more hours to get to Hooch's corner of Hogwarts..that's not too bad, is it? Come on up!

It's not that far...don't know what part of Kentucky you're in, but Lexington is only about 5 - 7 hours or so, depending on where the Virginia gathering happens....

10 to Atlanta for you, eh? Then it'd take me about 9 to get to you, roughly 11 to get to Hooch's neighborhood.....Hmmmm....doesn't sound bad to me at all, especially for the chance to hang with y'all, but perhaps I should consult with my husband first...

yep, i live in lexington, but 5-7 hours is a bit far for me right now....laurie, i think you are closer to me...maybe next time i'm around those parts i'll hit you up. that would be a trip to meet you, but i would be soooo nervous to meet any of you!

Right on Kallie, that'd be so much fun!! It'd be a trip to meet you too! But I don't see why you'd be nervous to meet any of us...we all already know what a cool chick you are.

Well, let's see...if we're going to do this....how about Charlottesville? 'bout halfway between Hoochville and Auditland, close to many of the other Virginia regulars, a reasonable distance for the rest, not that bad a distance for Spooki, and if I'm following Laurie correctly, within shooting distance for her too. Plenty enough distractions to take up our time in the unlikely event we get borded...or to help convince folks like Mr. Laurie that yes, they really do want to take this trip.

As to when...Spookineer will be moved in hopefully mid-June...based on recent events, he'll need a break by late June...so perhaps that would be the time? Don't want to push it into July, the place will be swarmed for the 4th, I'd suspect, what with the Jefferson influence and all.
