Hi all,
I am very frustrated right now! I run this site and the network of sites part-time. I make my living working full time.
Due to company cut-backs, I was just laid off!!!! I cannot believe their decision to do so.
I am VERY employable as I have a lot of skills, however the job market sucks right now.
I currently live in Las Vegas.
If anyone knows of or has opportunities, I am a very cost-effective person with a variety of excellent skills.

Larry, I'm so sorry to hear of the lay off.
I wish I could help, but I am just a peon truck driver and have no conections anywhere.
I've been in the same boat and know how it feels, its not a very good feeling.
I know things look down right now, but from my own experience , things will get better, I'm sure of that.
Best wishes to you.Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional

I'm very sorry to hear this Larry. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near LV and my company doesn't have any branches in LV either.
It might be helpful to post your area of expertise for full-time employment and what you are capable of doing. By your post I figure you do run networks part-time on a limited basis, but you didn't state what your full-time expertise are. Do you work in programming, or perhaps network maintenance full-time as well?
Best of luck in your search and if you post what you're looking for, I can do a search of my company's job database for anything in the LV area. We don't employ many people in tech fields if that's what you're looking for.

I have worn many hats in my career.
My success started as a Marketing Director for a trade college. I handled all aspects of marketing, advertising and lead generation. This included managing a sales force recruiters and all aspects of running multiple sales offices. My tremendous success at this school led to consulting for multiple colleges on “How to be successful in marketing”.
As the web became more popular, I shifted gears and went to work at a Internet Service Provider. I worked my way up into managing a local ISP and more than doubled their sales within 6 months. This also included office management, AR/AP, network administration, Linux, windows server, ASP, and all aspects of web development and SEO.
In recent years my official title has been “Webmaster/Affiliate Relations” where I have continued to wear many hats. I have worked with webmasters to help promote our services. This includes lead generation and tool creation. I have personally created many tools such as RSS feeds, PHP site builder etc.
Over the years I have also worked on a consultant basis doing PC and network troubleshooting, setup and configuration.
I have utilized and gained great experience while creating and operating “The Halloween Network”. The sites receive millions of unique visitors every year with just part-time effort. I personally maintain the main Linux servers (converted from windows servers), create the sites (html/programming/graphics), manage the sites and have been very successful with visitor and advertiser satisfaction. The growing success of this network speaks for itself.
To sum it up, I have a great deal of experience in all aspects of business management, marketing, advertising, web development, sales, relations and more.
I appreciate your consideration.

Sorry to hear about the job loss Larry.
Maybe you should turn towards ISP security. Fraud prevention on the internet seems to be big right now.
