Thread: "Pregnant Man"

I'm not going to post a link to this story. If you have not heard it yet, then do yourself a favor and do not bother. I'm sorry I even heard of this. I think I'm going to throw up. Ohh. Maybe I'm pregnant.

I read this in the paper today. The paper stated that he/she's a transsexual who kept her reproductive organs. I think that mere piece of information nullifies the tag of "transsexual", but what do I know. Although he looks like a man through a steady diet of testosterone, I'm still of the belief that it's a woman. The story is a tremendous waster of paper, ink, and internet web space.

Actually, there are two stories I heard about-- a co-worker linked me to them both. One is a woman who has been a man for several years. "His" wife can't get pregnant, so they agreed "he" should stop taking testosterone treatment and carry their child... so "he" has all the equipment.

There's also another story about a Mr. Lee (I think that was his name)... who has always been a male of the species. They implanted baby and placenta in his abdominal cavity, where it is growing "around" his organs. He will have to have a C-section to remove the child. I have no idea how that will work... and personally think the guy's insides are going to be jacked up for years to come.

this is just my opinion but if he never was happy as a woman and became "himself" as a man and was finding himself as a man then he shouldnt have a baby or have the right to do that , i get that he kept his femal organs but he/she said felt trap as a woman and is happier as a man ......so go all the way and live like a man .....?

i have nothing against gays or lesbians dont get me wrong here , have friends that are and love them nor that i am against changing sex if the person isnt happy or having depression all their lives because they fel trap in their body , if it is a serious issue for them but i watched it and just didnt get him/her i think he didnt know himself how to justify it either and his hole becoming a man process ....

the other thing i didnt get is the doctor that accepted to do this and that their wasnt more question over the whole process or laws or something because as he said the transsexual community wasnt for it also ....i just dont understand how easy it seemed to have been able to do this ....

i hope the baby doesnt suffer too much public bad publicity as this baby doesnt deserve to suffer for choices their parents took to get him or her into this world and i sure hope he / she will be raised in alot of love as any child deserves .

There are a lot of things in life that the majority of people don't understand or accept because the issue hasn't affected their life. If you take gender out of the this story, there are two "people" who want to have a child. I believe they can and will be loving parents. If you stop to think about it, every one of us has been unfairly criticized for something about the way we look, act, live, work, etc. We all find it hurtful and unacceptable; resenting those who criticize us. Wouldn't the world be a better place if people just lived their own lives and accepted "people" as they are if what they do, or how they live doesn't hurt anyone?

Very well said dear Madame T because it truly takes all kinds to make this world go around. Some people may say we here at this forum are a bit strange so who am I to say what is or is not 'normal'. Yes, it's a bit different indeed but now what matters the most is the child that will be coming into this cruel cold world. If its loved, nurtured, and cared for by this 'transsexual' man and his partner then this child will be doing allot better then many children in your or my town. Something to think about, yes?
