Did you ever go through the name phaze? It's were you don't really like your first name so you go by something else like your middle name? I'm finally starting to appricate my full name. It still sounds silly to me but all through middle school and high school I always went by my middle name James. Appricate the little things in life.

It's funny you mention this. I've never gone by another name, other than nick names from my teammates in softball and hockey. The funny thing though is that my mom has always told me that my middle name was initially supposed to be my first name. She changed it at the last minute for some reason. Whenever a friend asks me what my middle name is, I always mention that little fact and they find it difficult to imagine calling me Danny, rather than Leo. They all say that I look like a Leo... whatever that means. But I agree that I really don't look like a Daniel.

My first name is Tyler. I just never really liked it cause people would always call me ty, or tyty, so I just went by my middle name which is james. In this day in age Tyler James Larson sounds really funny. But James Larson doesnt.

Hey, H.K. like the name Tyler James Larson!! But I can see wjy you didn't want it shortened to ty- and whats with tyty? I have a even more bazaare name, especially for the 50's and 60's when I grew up. when every one was Kathy, Sue, Sandy, Debbie and so on. My full given name is Bethene Sue, and I hated it, I still go by Beth, but back then, the first day of school, what did the teacher say, but Bethene, and I immediately said Just Beth, please. It took me along time to make peace with it, now I don't mind it, I just wishpeople would say it right -pronounced like Charlene, Bethene. So many people said it like Beth-in, like in the house. What the ?? I can see if maybe they think it is a different way to spell Bethany, but back in the 50's people didn't do that sorta thing. I have no idea where my folks came up with it, I asked my mom once, and she just vaguely said she heard it somewhere. Anyway, after the long rant, I like your name, Tyler!

I like your name. It's pretty. That's my boss's name. She hated it to and went by beth but now she likes it. Her middle name is lyssajoy (lisa joy). So I really don't think we have it to bad. TyTy is what all my friends that were girls would call me. They thought it was cute. Im like no. It sounds like a carebare.

thank you, the name has grown on me by now(grandma caleed me Bethie Sue, no one dared!) Is Bethene really your bosses name? I have seen people on line, looking up names, never have met one!!. I actually like her middle name too, that would be a good first name too, Lyssajoy. It's pretty.

I've always hated my name...ever since I was a kid, and still to this day. My real names Douglas, but of course I go by Doug. I have had every nickname you could imagine...Dougie, Dougie Wuggie, Dougie-pooh, Dougers, Doug-o, Doogie, Drew, True (Because of my last name), Truty, Spanky, Drew, and the current one at work right now Stupid MF, or Bag Licking Slug...

I hate my name so much, what did I do....gave it to my kids as their middle name. I could never go by my middle name of Wayne either...too old fashioned I think.

    I've always wanted a different name...still do.

But the best name I will always have and that I will never get tired of...Daddy!

My name is Rodney. Not too crazy about it. For some reason, people have trouble with my name. As a kid, A neighbor kid and his mother called me "Rotney" and a school principal called me Ronnie for three years. The other kids had a lot of fun with this.

My name inspires nicknames. I've been called Rod Man, The Rod Squad, The Rodster, and Dangerfield among others.

I have also had other nicknames, not related to my real name.

I kind of like Rod, but I guess Rodney is OK.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

My given name is Patricia. Too formal. My parents called me Patti Ann when I was a little girl. When I got to be about 10 or so, I thought that Patti was a 'baby' name, and asked everyone to call me Pat. That lasted about 4 years, til I finally gained enough insight to realize that Patti suited my personality much better. And Patti I have remained.
