I did a review for Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker on this forum a short while ago. Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker I always love to have an HP Lovecraft story book with me too. Hope that helps. Have a great vacation!

What kind of books do you like? Mysteries? Sci-fi/fantasy? Romance?
Mystery catagory: anything by: Patricia Cornwell, Robert Parker, Iris Johanson, Lisa Gardner, Sara Paretsky, James Patterson
    Sci-fi: Marion Zimmer-Bradley, Andre Norton
Romance, Mary Higgens-Clark, Debbie Macomber, Jude Deveroux(sp?)
Most of the romace cataory are brain candy, some have good stories. I read alot of mysteries, if I think about it could come up with more names, those are off the top of my head. Have fun on vacation, and relaxing reading. I love to go camping, so I have a good excuse to have a pile of books and read all day

James Patterson's, 'Cross' is the most exciting book I've read in a while--I LOVED IT!! Very suspenseful, grabbed me right from the beginning..was 165 pages into it before I made myself take a bathroom break.

And even if you haven't read any of the other Alex Cross novels by Patterson, this one's still easy to follow along with.

If you're looking for something funny, I'd definitely recommend A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore

ANYTHING written by John Irving. The World According to Garp, A Prayer for Owen Meaney, The Cider House Rules. But I think you'd like "A Widow for One Year". Great storyteller.
