Thread: A Friend's Son Died

Hey all,

Our friend's 8 yr old son Seth passed away 2-26-08 unexpectedly. It is going to cost
$6100 just to have him sent back to Texas and to hold the funeral. That does not include burial plot or head stone. My friend is a single mother who was trying to do her best to raise 3 children. One of whom had a heart transplant and was taking anti-rejection medications all of his life. Unfortunately, after several years, his poor body couldn't take it anymore and his life ended. Now she is trying to get him back home to be next to his brother in Texas, and needs all the help she can get to get him there. Seth's favorite thing was Spiderman. In fact he said he didn't just like Spiderman, he was Spiderman. He was a sweet, kind little boy who was full of life. It's just hard to believe he is gone.

All funds received will be sent directly to Seth's mom to help cover the costs of the funeral.

I went to the site as directed but it says it's closed as far as contributing. I know I can do it directly to the funeral home but that's a little risky to me no offense.

I am sorry that the fund closed. We had no control over how long the account was open for, especially as they needed to get the money to her ASAP to get the arrangements underway. I thank you very much for your thoughts, and for the contribution offer.

Is there possiably another kind of foundation or charity they are excepting for? Iv been through all of this stuff before and I personally know how hard it is. So if there's something in his name or maybe even perhaps the actuall hospital I'm totally willing to send in for that to.
