I swear, most of mine could double as horror movies or some kind of Twilight Zone episode or something. I wonder if it's because I'm always watching/reading the freakin' news, scary movies, and staying submersed in everything Halloween all the time....oh well, what can ya do?Anyways, last night I dreamed we lived in a 12-story apt. building and they were draining the murky water in the pool outside...the draining reveals a 'dead' woman in the deep end, my husband goes to investigate, and she wakes up. EEK!! With a zombie's dead stare and unresponsiveness, he tries helping her while I take the kids up to the apt. Then that night, I hear a noise from the bed, look at the doorway, and the zombie woman's standing in it... AAAHH!
Last week, I dreamed we lived in a house on tall stilts, like in FL, with a group of others, because we were being attacked at night by zombies 'Dawn of the Dead' style. So every evening after reading a bedtime story and leaving the kids to rest, we were going down and killing as many zombies as possible.
Good grief.Where's a normal dream??? Am I alone here?!

Wow Laurie. That's interesting.
I must be boring. LOL I don't remember many of my dreams and if I do they are usually about work.

And you know, I've never been freaked out by zombies in the movies..weird. Also had one about a haunt I went to one time, located in an airport hangar. But the haunters there were actually trying to kill the visitors. So I was trying to make it back to my car parked on the other end of the hangar, but everytime I could get up high enough to get a view of it, it still seemed as far away as it was at the beginning.
There have been a couple people who were close to me in life that died, and have 'come back to visit' in my dreams. Those can either be good or quite disturbing too. Anytime my kids are in my dream and appear to be in jeopardy, I wake myself up from it. It's like my brain refuses to entertain that notion, even on autopilot. I'd love just a mundane, having beers on the beach in the sun, dream.
I'm intrigued Kallie, I want to read some of your blogs! Have you ever read any dream interpretation books? Tried to figure some of these out?
Haverghast, good for you....put those weird dreams to good use for yourself!
Work dreams, Jackielantern? OH NO, you can't escape it anywhere!!!

LOL, Headless Horseman! Hmmmm, let's see.....I've always heard if you go to bed on a really full belly it makes you have nightmares--so maybe if you pig out on some Taco Hell or say pizza at around 11 or midnight while watching the scariest movie you can think of with all the lights out, perhaps that'll help? Good luck, man!
