    Sorry I haven't posted in a while.
I was sick and had bladder surgery 2/5.
Still on bed rest, but feeling stronger each day.

I'm getting kind of stir crazy just sitting though.

My best friend Greg at TDM gave me a great scrap book
to read from 1836, which helps pass the time.

It has interesting obits, newspaper clippings, & stories.
One of special interest, an original clipping,
A Visit With St. Nick. We know it better
    as The Night Before Christmas.

Also a great poem by Poe , Annabel Lee.

Any lovers of antique books out there? What do you read?

Victorianna, the scrap book sounds interesting, especially the visit from St. Nick article. I read alot, but not antique books. I do understand what you mean about going stir crazy, I had foot ankle surgury 5 years ago, tomorrow , in fact, and the first 2 weeks, was supposed to stay down as much as possible, only trips to the bathroom, but even after that, I was off work for 4 months, and most of it was house bound. It gets real old! Hope ypu get feeling better , and can find things too keep from going quite so stir crazy!
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Surgery recovery can be a bummer. I had surgery for prostate cancer two years ago. After I got out of the hospital, I had to carry a catheter for two weeks. I was sleeping on the sofa when my smoke detector malfunctioned and went off. My dog got spooked and jumped up on to the sofa onto my stomach. OUCH! Took two months to get back to work.

    Hope you fully recover soon.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

I am healing up, and getting some of my energy back.
I know what you mean about the horrible catheter.
    What we take for granted!

    You really had it rough!
    Thanks for the well wishes.
