I work on a lot of different types of projects in my home studio, including my new-found interest in Halloween props. I love to have quiet time and fun things around me as I work or hang out with all of you on the forum. The link below shows where I hang out. Do you have a special place to work on your small projects?

Wow! Your room is so neat and organized! I have cabinets for my craft and sewing stuff but my room never looks that organized. But it is still my favorite place to be.

For quiet time I go to a nearby town that has a large lake and picnic areas, usually during the week when no one is there.
AHHH, the peace, quiet and serenity.

This might sound crazy, but for reflecting on things in my life, I got to the cemetary where my mom & dad are buried.
Peace and quiet and time to think and plan.

Lynn, doesn't it feel like it takes forever when you are remodeling? At one point I was cooking on a hot plate in the hall, for 5 months, while my kitchen was being remodeled and we had to wait for the granite counter tops to be installed. We've been renovating for at least 20 years....I made sure this room, MY room, got done before I would quit work.

Oh, that's a GREAT space for you to hang out, Madame! And little Alistair in his favorite laundry basket, so cute! ***Sighs***...you know, I'd love to have some quiet time and a room to work on projects here at the house, but our present home just isn't big enough. I'd like to say I at least have quiet time in the shower, but that's when everybody needs to come in and pee. Sadly, the only opportunity for reflection is when I'm out jogging or riding my bike, but right now that works for me. One of these days though, we'll get that 5 bedroom house (when we win the Mega Millions).

I'm sorry Laurie but the mother of twin boys is not going to find quiet time in any size house until they start school...then you be cryin' because you miss them so much and the house is too quiet.

Thank you Kallie. It is a jack. He started out as a real pumpkin that I covered with foil and covered with paper mache'. Then I cut the paper mache' in half to get it off the pumpkin. Since the pumpkin will now be immortal, I named him Morti. That's why I made an M in his front teeth. I hope to make a lot of progress this weekend. I've been distracted by other things lately.
