Well...they want to give us this "Stimulus Package" to help kick the economy back on track.

My 2 cents about it, is when you get your money...."BUY AMERICAN"...or try your best.
As Haunters we have use of things no one else does....spend a good portion at garage sales or flea markets and put some money into the pockets of our own neighbors.
Spend some money at the craft shows....
Buy some props from people like Bodybagging, rather than just wait until Aug. to see what China has sent for this season.

Let's stimulate OUR economy for a change....

You're absolutely right, Jack!.....(we only have one big craft show in our area every year- I wish their were Halloween craft exhibits to visit there, especially since it's held every October, but there are some great pumpkin things about. I usually go crazy purchasing the homemade candles.)

I agree ,Jack. I do try to support local businesses, and buy local also. My daughter hasn't even bought any new clothes in amost two years, always from resale or thift stores, and she dresses better than before she did this, if you are a savvy shopper you can find high quality -reasonable. I also do shopping at those types of places, craft shows, and smaller local businesses. The problem is every where you go, things are made in China, or some other country, even fabric, for those of use who like to sew or do craft type things, it is hard to find things that are not made else where. I know of someone who, when expecting her first child, wanted only made in america clothes for her little one, but had a VERY hard time finding ANY! Some where along the line, we have lost the America I grew up with. I am not sure how to get it back or what the answer is. Maybe now with all the problems of lead in the paint of toys, and pet food being poisoned, something will get changed. I guess if all of us make a attempt, it will help, even if it is a slow proccess,
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Or, put it in a savings account and don't spend it. Or pay off debt.

    Just a thought. :-)
