I live in Philly, but I'm originally from Boston. I'm an Eagles fan first but I grew up with the Pats and have always followed them. For some reason the Pats and even Boston in general (in the sports world at least) seems to be hated around here. These people call these sports talk shows and start spewing this crap about how they hate Boston and the Pats and they cheated and the fans are fair weathered. I'm just wondering if the rest of the country is feeling this too. I can understand how you can get sick of the Pats winning all the time. I was getting a little sick of the 49ers when they went on their 5 or 6 year streak, but you have to admire a team that can go 19-0. Belichick definitely needs an image workover. The guy comes across as a real dick at times, but in a time in sports when you see alll these cry baby athletes sticking there hands out and asking for more and more, you have Tom Brady readjusting his salary to keep the Pats under the cap. Let's T.O. or L.T. do that. Not a chance.
Anyways..I hope everyone enjoys the Superbo...oops, the NFL lawyers just stopped me... I mean the "Big Game".
I don't think Manning has the rocks for a game like this. I've never been a Eli Manning fan. I'll say 42 - 9 Pats over Giants.

I'm pulling for the Pats. Hoping for a 36-14 win.

Lots of people like to trash winners. As a lifelong 49er fan I remember taking all the ribbing when we couldn't win a game with a gun. I'm talking way back before Candlestink park, when we wore bags over our heads at Keasar Stadium. We were called the "49er Faithful". Then in the 80's when we couldn't lose, I caught it again with things like "Eddie D bought the best players"! Now that we're back to needing a gun to win, it starts again. All I can say is be true to your team, if you aren't a fan in the down times, you were never a fan. And there is always the end all line, "and how many superbowl wins does your team have?"
Good luck to you and your Pats!
PS: I'm also a fan of the Eagles, Dick Vermeil was my HS football coach.
I don't want to just scare them... I want to mess them up for life!

Oh man. Could we use Dick Vermeil back in Philly. This Reid/McNabb debacle is laughable.

I hate the Pats because I hate Dynasty Teams....Like Dallas.
I really hoped that the salary cap would keep teams...like Dallas...from ever becoming a Dynasty again. It is actually fun to see teams that have never been to a Superbowl or have never won a Superbowl play in the big game.
John Elway did the same thing as Brady shortly before Denver won it's first Superbowl by taking a pay cut to get some caliber players under the cap. But Elway, unlike Brady has felt the sting of Losing 3 superbowls before winning 2...

As far as the game goes...I'll pull for the Giants to be Dynasty Killers....
BUT..... then again....I remember Superbowl XXI... and I might possibly be pulling for a Pats win so that Giant Fans could feel the sting of a Superbowl loss!
    I am so confused!

The Patriots line played their worst game in years tonight.

On the other hand, it's hard for me not to like the Mannings. Lots of people lost their shirts tonight!

Yeah, I happen to like both the Mannings, and was pulling for the Giants, but still didn't think they would do it. And I think it is pretty awesome that brothers won the big game back to back like that!!

The big saving grace is that we will not have to hear about the "Perfect Pats" for the rest of our lives.....

I can see how that can be a saving grace for nonPats fans.
Now if we can only figure out how to get Mercury Morris to shut
    the f&*k up.

I was kind of diasaapointed in the game until the 4th quarter. It was a
    pretty boring game overall.

I question a few of the ref calls, but I don't thing there was anything there that was game changing.

Bottom line... The Giants game to play and the Pats didn't. The better team won. Congrats to any Giants fans or anyone that had 3-7 in a Superbowl grid.

Jack, this thread is not even about "AMERICA'S TEAM". LOL I just had to put that in there, I know you hate "AMERICA'S TEAM". What can I say I live in Dallas. I hate the Pats but thats because they nearly won every game. Nearly!
