A friend of mine that I have known for about 4-5 years, have taught Sunday School with her for 2 years, have taught 5 of her 7 kids in Sunday School, her Husband was stabbed in their home Friday night. Thank God the Kids were not there!!! I met with her at the Hospital Saturday night for about a half hour, and it looks like he 'might' make it. BAD stabbing, almost cut his head off, got a lung and lots of defensive wounds, arms, back, legs etc. He was home alone and we did not know who did it.
Have been freaking since I heard Saturday Morning!
My Priest just called me, and two people have been arrested, one was a guy from town and the other is my Friend!
Oh MY God!!! Then my daughter heard me talking to my Priest, and went with me to the garage to tell my husband, and she hits me with "What are you going to do?" "What do you mean?" "Are you still her Friend?"
My God all the conversations we have had the last few weeks take on a WHOLE different meaning!!!!!
They have the arraignment tomorrow at 1:30. I think I am going to go, one of the things that keeps running through my head is "We just taught the 10 Commandments, were they not clear ?"
What am I to do??????

Man cannot live on bread alone.... (unless he is in a cage and that is all you feed him.)

Wow!
Well, seeing as this is not on the "more commonly encounterd situation" list, I'd say freaking out is a fine start...
Stand back, and let this thing play out is all I can think of - this has gone from hurt feelings and simple disgruntlement (if that's how they started), to attempted murder (assuming he lives)...the police have more than enough on their hands right now.
You can be a friend, but there is nothing you can do at this point but let the professionals do their jobs, unless you want to get pulled into the fray as well.
I am so sorry you have to face this kind of pain and suffering - there is no easy way to handle any of this (I had an in-law assaulted, and eventually die from complications - they had a hard time catching the criminal, but finally did - all we could do was stand aside and watch, as any interference would not be to the benefit of the case...not that we didn't want to find him too)
Prayers go out to that poor guy in the hospital - hope he survives this, and recovers well.Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
2009 photos and 2008 photos ...uhmmm...and what I have evolving...

That is a hard one ! Right now, being a friend is probably NOT what she cares about. Like Joe said, stand back and let what happens happen..... All will come out later. Right now no one knows all the circumstances and it may be that there was NO motivation behind it. I for one have a hard time with this kind of behavior and would be pretty judgmental. But eventually you can forgive, (maybe).
I for one never forget though !

My God that's awful. Might want to steer clear until more detail come out, and be there for the family if they need anything.
