Thread: Advice needed

I started a forum for my neighborhood to post concerns and such to be a liaison between the CDD Board and the residents. I thought it was long over due.

Well I discovered from one of the board members that a yahoo group already existed and he thought I should invite them to join. I posted an invite on the group and received a message from another resident saying he started a forum too. His is on it's own dedicated domain and mine is just an extension of my halloween site. His looks much better than mine. I used software that was free with my web space provider, he bought v bulletin.

I just wonder if I should close mine down and just participate on his. I already have some board members on mine, but I don't know if two forums will be necessary. If I keep mine up, will it end up being a competition?

What should I do? I am tempted to improve mine and go at it as planned, but I am stalled on which way to go right now. HELP!

Don't let anyone take that away from you. So what if it's already done. Don't be intimated by others. Everyone has to start somewhere.
