Every profession, craft, hobby, sport, etc. has it's own lingo and terminology. Out of context, words and phrases can be puzzling and even humorous. Its no different in the realm of Home Haunting.

A recent post reminded me of something I've noticed about this Forum in the past; some of the thread titles here are quite bizarre if you look at them outside of the context of haunting and Halloween. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

The recent post I refer to is:
"Corpsing with pantyhose"

Taken at face value, it sounds like some kind of weird fetish…possibly illegal.

I took a look back through some of the posts we've made here and chose a few that are kind of funny "out of context." Read these thread titles and forget for the time being that you know anything about haunting or that they were posted on a Halloween forum.

• Guts design
• Eyeball Envy
• Maggots???
• I want to scare THE PISS out of my parents…HELP

and my favorite, from last year:

*Giant monster hand...help (Sounds too urgent to have to wait for a response from a forum)
*Has anyone ever used a can opener? (Yes, a fork, too...)
*First time for a newbie (Did you feel the earth move, too?)
*Prop in the form of a costume (What is the sound of one hand clapping?)
*Dead Swing Set (Those live ones are creepy as hell, too)
*Free real biohazard bags (there is a catch) ('Nuff said!)

Wow, those are great observations!! I've never thought of any titles as weird until reading them here!! Good thing we're all on the same page and don't run away screaming when we read the thread titles.
