Hey howdy everyone. Since the weekly thread wasn't started yet, decided to go ahead and start one. Hopefully everyone had a good weekend. We ended last week discussing haircuts and sadly the hair remains shaggy and long.
We also get to welcome Moon back as she and Gomez are back from the hospital and beginning his rehab. I am sure that she will chime in occasionally but probably not nearly as much until he starts gaining some of his strength back. We are just glad to hear that they are back home again.
Well, nothing happening here, just another week of working. Tempwise, we are at 34 degrees.....now if we could just get a little rain to come this way, we might be able to get some of that white stuff.

Good Morning All,
Moon So glad to hear that Gomez is at home. Please take care of yourself as well! Hope the kids are all doing well also. I read on the 'wednesdays father' topic that you are going to try to quit smoking. Good for you!! Its so hard, I went through that last year. Its been about 7 months now smoke free. As horrible as it is what your husband and family has had to go through this past week, it should be enough reason to quit for good! It makes it easier when you have someone to quit with you. Hubby and I did it together and its been great having someone push me when I have those dreaded cravings.
Tig Sorry to hear about the shaggy hair. It starts to get uncomfortable after a while. Not to rub it in, but with all of the talk of haircuts last week, I cashed in this weekend.
I should be good for a while.

man.........LHallow is starting off the week rubbing it in. Its going to be a terrible week.
and Randyaz is in charge? Why does that send shivers down my spine?
It is great to hear that Moon is going to try to quit smoking. My dad did it years ago and said it was the best thing that he ever did (he quit cold turkey which was pretty amazing. Just decided one day to do it).

yes, quitting is definately one of the best things I've done also. I used to get mild chest pains every so often and I had that lovely smokers hack. That was only from smoking 1/2 pack a day (which is nothing compared to most smokers.) Within a week, the pain stopped and so did the cough. Those cravings are aweful though....they still haven't completely disappeared for me, but they are much less now.

Gotta say (i will preface this with that I have never smoked) I have never quite understood the lure of smoking. Especially with how expensive it can get. I have known people that smoke anywhere from a pack or two per day and they weren't smoking the cheap stuff either. I could never quite figure that one out. I mean I know it is addicting but when they are expensive as they are, it seems like that would be a big reason to quit.
Glad to hear that your chest pains stopped LHallow.

moon happy you are all home.
Anyone who quits smoking, good job. I don't know personally, but seeing other people quit and go through the cravings and getting a bit crazy sometimes and then getting over it is very nice to see. I grew up around smokers which was enough to make me never want to smoke cause of how nasty it is. I'm just a Coke addict (Coca Cola). If I don't have it for a day I'm not a happy person.
tig sorry about no haircut
LHALLOW way to go
No trim for me with Flo hangin around. Did watch Interview with A Vampire for the millionth time and that's a turn on so it worked for the time being.
I actually have some work, but I'll be able to post throughout the day.

tig I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, smoking just became a habit. It was something to do on break at work, it was something to do while driving to the store, etc. Looking back, the cost was crazy, but its not something I really thought about. Some people drop $5.00 at Starbucks every morning, I dropped $5.00 for cigaretts.
mrsmyers are you a Brad or Tom fan? Or both? I wouldn't mind giving haircuts to both of them....maybe at the same time.

now you know, there are always questions about who Tom prefers to give haircuts to. Guys or girls. But he probably makes exceptions and if Brad was there, that might be a totally different subject anyway.
Guess that is true about smoking. Everyone has their little habits that they do just because. I am also not a coffee drinker so I have skipped that vice too. Never could get that taste of coffee.
