BlackRose You are a lucky girl, 3 haircuts, wow and takeout and pre-wash. I'm jealous.
I live off of junk food. I have gained weight , but I did just finish college almost 6 months ago so I'll blame that. I used to be a stick with curves when I played soccer, now I'm trying to exercise, but I'm usually too tired to do that. Damn me for not liking my body when it looked real good. I used to wear baggy clothes so no one ever knew I had a great body. Now I wear tighter clothes and people compliment me, but compared to what I used to be I feel fat. People laugh when I say I gained weight, they say you're kidding and I say, well I used to wear baggy clothes so did you really see what size I was? I have pretzels at my desk, the healthy junk food in my opinion. Dorito's would just give me bad breath at work and we don't need that. Ok done with my rant on weight and food.
I hear you MrsMyers I am always trying to eat healthier. I have those non fat pretzels at my desk too. I do great all week, but as soon as the weekend hits, all I eat is junk. Luckily my weight has never been too much of an issue and I'm 6' tall, so if I gain a little, it doesn't really show much. Like you, I'm also trying to work out more. But, I'm so tired after work. Hubby and I cleaned up the basement this weekend and set up the eliptical machine and the weight machine. We also put a small tv down there, so this week we are going to try to be good and work out.
I try to eat healthier but find that it is almost impossible when working at a desk all day long. I usually try to prepare halfway decent meals for the family when I get home but sometimes the energy to cook and prepare a meal just isn't there. Let alone the grocery shopping that it takes to prepare healthier meals.
My room where the weight machine is at is a total mess. Gotta get down there and clean that out but the energy just is never there. Can usually get myself working out for a few days at a time but then things come up and out the door that goes.
yeah I've been trying to do my pilates, which isn't bad, it feels good. I'm 5'6" so the weight shows a little for me, but it actually is focused in one area, my chest. Which take a lucky guess, all my guy friends love. Some weight has gone to the hips and butt, but the chest mainly. I guess it's not that bad, but it wasn't that small to begin with so I'm not fond of it, but guys seem to always look there so I guess they're usful for something.
boy, I think a lot of people would think you're lucky. It is at least in a part of you that doesn't make you look bad. A lot of women are always complaining about how small they are. Personally, I prefer the smaller, as they say "more than a handful is a waste".
My extra weight seems to have gone everywhere. I know, guys never complain about their weight but I gotta say, when there was less weight, the haircuts seemed to last longer. Had a few go for a few hours.
No nuthin' around my house except hard work in the out of doors. Fun?- no, not really. But the hatches are all battoned down for winter. I guess there is something to be said for peace of mind.
Disclamer: I have no idea where the topic is at this point.
Gotta get that fall work done while it is still halfway enjoyable outside. Nothing like trying to do yard work in the snow. And I don't think we have settled on one topic yet. Even though Haircuts still seem to be in the mix.
silvert glad you got the yardwork done. We're almost done. I got a lot of the pond plants trimmed moved into the bottom of the pond for the winter, all thats left is putting the de icer in when it gets a little colder out. Still have to winterize the camper, not looking forward to that one.
wow........ you lead a sheltered life MrsMyers (just kidding). Just surprised that you have never heard that one. Of course, many still go by the old addage "bigger is better" but I don't agree with that one.
Guess it is getting that time of year that I have to figure out what I am going to do about the ponds. First winter for both so have to get my options all figured out. Don't have to worry about the plant thing much, just got my first plants for the backyard one (from my mother) and they are already sunk down in for the winter.
