Hey, guys. I just got an ad in the paper today for one of those mail order places where you can get personal checks with cool pics on them. They have a "special edition" with "Universal Monster" pics! Univeral, meaning Universal Pictures, so there's Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, and The Mummy! They're all antique "sepia tone" parchment style with a decorative trim. And of course you get a checkbook with the monsters on the front.

I think I HAVE to have these!! They have a toll free number to order them, too: 1-800-565-8332 It's the Universal Monsters check #518, and if you want matching address labels that's #09608. There's a "cover" number: #45140

UPDATE: I just called & the Universal Monsters checks & labels are being discontinued in October, so if you want them, order them soon, and they suggest ordering 4 boxes. Labels you might want to order lots of as well.

SONUVA!!! My wife JUST ordered checks last week from them. She said they didn't have any halloween themed checks. Dang nab it!

What?!! Universal monsters and no Creature from the Black Lagoon checks!!! Bummer, man.....

As long as you're not moving anytime soon you could always order a box. And the address labels are fairly cheap, about $7 a roll (or are these flat sheets? can't remember).

These guys have great checks with skeletons, vultures, anatomy charts, bugs, and "The Scream" on them.. I've never ordered but they look wicked cool.

Those were pretty cool, too.

Thanks for the compliment Autumn Dreams. You should see the faces on people when I happily show them my monster checks! I ran out and went with Cat in the Hat this time.

Wow TWO sites with monster checks! Sounds to me like my wife didn't look very hard... The ones she picked have pretty winter scenes and kittens on them. I guess they are scary in a different way!
