I might be wrong but, the only people in my mind that get paid their weight in gold are doctors! They have a helluva tense job (at times) and one little mistake could be the difference between life and death.
Teachers, police, firefighters, and soldiers do not get paid enough considering what they do for us!
Stock brokers, insurance salespeople, developers, architects, get paid way more than they are worth.
    Talk about backward nations!
We live in a country that daily shows bloodied, dead bodies on our T.V.'s , but when Janet Jackson bared a breast......"That's an outrage! We must do something so that can't happen again!"
When was the last time that somebody died because they saw a breast? Has seeing a naked person made you feel depressed?
STOP ME BEFORE I RANT AGAIN!

On a lighter subject, that moon last night was spectacular! The temps here never dipped much below 60 last night, so it was perfect! Still too early for mosquitos and the dreaded west nile disease.
Today is the last average freeze here in Denver, so now it is time to plant my garden FINALLY!!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm back, I know some of you may be saying, "SO WHAT!" No worries!

Anyway, back from a trip to California to see my wife's parents, we had a pretty good time and got to take in a Giants vs Marlins game, Marlins lost! YEAH! We were cheering for the Giants! When in San Fran cheer for the San Fran team. The stadium was AWESOME and the temperature was perfect, days in the 70's and nights in the 50's.

We spent Monday visiting Santa Cruz and rode a few of the rides that were open on the boardwalk! Both my wife and I were ticked that the Haunted walks were shut down!! We were mad! The outside of the two "walks" were pretty cool with the typical evil drawings that are on spooky carnival events. Usually they aren't all that great but we won't know since they were closed!

We had a very relaxing day though hanging around the pier and walking around the beach. Yesterday was travel day and we celebrated Beltaine (Saturday) at my in-laws house. I was "selected" to grill out. I bought $50 worth of fish from a fresh market in Sunnyvale and I made enough for about 8 people! 2 big pieces of sushi grade Ahi Tuna and Fresh Salmon just caught that morning! I also made a chipotle marinade and basted all of the fish in that. Yum Yum! It came out really well, surprisingly. My wife handled the veggies and the sides.

So it is back to the same old. Actually it isn't. I am in the office today and Friday but tomorrow we are having a meeting out of the office at Clearwater Beach so I won't be able to get on the forum. I'll have to check back on Friday to see what happened.

Next week I am flying back to California, this time for work, I'll be flying into LAX on Sunday night for a week long "training" session. Mostly for the newbies that started in this department so I won't have internet access then either. Oh well. I'll do my best to log in when I can.

Take care all and hope this month is looking better than the end of last MOON!!

ah my dear Rotting [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/hug2.gif[/image] glad you are safe & sound, rested & well after your trip.

Good to see your smiling type

Things are lookin up, baby! With every down swing there's gotta be an UP, right?

No big miracles or anything, just a nice smooth ride for the last couple of days...I'll take it!

Some positive spell work along with full moon rituals...that and laying in that glorious ball of fire {THE SUN} that rules my sign of LEO, I am feeling refreshed!

Get outside tonight and gaze at that big, beautiful MOON, even tho it is waning from Full (yesterday 1:45pm).....

This place is less lively then the City Morgue lately. [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/roflol.gif[/image]

No joke MOON, the weather must be getting nicer around the country so people are getting out more. It's always nice around here so we just plow right along. Just know that I will be lurking here less for the next two weeks but will make my return more often before too long.

I did find out that I will be traveling a WHOLE lot more in the next few months so I'll be in and out of here but still around in spirit!!

I'll do my best to log in at least on Fridays (except next) and will try to keep up on all of the happenings.

The moon was awesome this morning and last night. We landed around 10 and what came glistening into the plane just before touchdown at TIA but the moon! I love when it is full. This morning I caught it before the sun came up (you know me and running) so I caught a double whammy of it over the last 24 hours.

The weather was surprisingly beautiful when I got up this morning, the humidity was out of the air!! Unheard of for this time of year in Florida. The summer is not far though. Ugh, when we left on Friday morning the temp was already 73 with 100% humidity, it was awful. It was so refreshing to get back and there was low humidity and a nice sea breeze! Ahhhh! Just like Cali-forn-i-a!

Plus I get to go back to Cali as things heat up on Sunday around here and the moisture returns! Can't beat Cali this time of year! It's absolutely perfect and I get one more week to sample the weather but I'll be working inside this time!! Blah! OH well, the things you do for work!

Glad things are getting better MOON! Some weeks just suck but eventually everything evens out. Hey, if nothing else, Memorial Day is not too far away!!!!!!

My wife is really starting to anticipate the festivities and is looking forward to the trip to Mt Dora, Florida if all is still a go! We'll have a big beer cooler and all the fixin's.

By the way, who is celebrating Cinco de Mayo? I usually go to a local Mexican place and eat some burritos and of course drink at least one Margarita! Don't go to a French restaurant tonight though, they won't be too happy about the celebration since the Mexicans defeated the Frenchies on this day!

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! By the way, in San Jose they arrested over 100 people on Sunday for the annual Cinco De Mayo celebration, most for public intoxication! Well, cmon now, what's wrong with that?!??! Especially when it is a celebration. Apparently there was only 1 shooting and it wasn't fatal. Just some gangs were a little upset, go figure, geez! Can't we all just get along, fortunately, my wife and I were at the Giants game at the time and we were drinking with some folks that we met in the bleachers!! Instant friends, just add some beer and baseball and all is good! I was wearing my Cubs shirt and Lightning hat and we talked to some people that had just moved to San Fran from Tampa. Small world really. We had a TERRIFIC time!

Funny you should mention "perfect" California weather, Rotting. Down in Southern California we're having one mother of a heat wave. And so are most of the southwestern states I'm about to drive through. Tucson is over 100 and so is Phoenix and El Paso. I mean, this is May! It's usually a balmy 75 across the board. Who would expect August weather in May! I'm telling you, it's Poseidon's doing! Aside from ruling the seas, he also rules the weather. So this is his way of saying that he's pissed off at losing one of the South Bay's premiere surf bums!

So David, as a "Surf Bum" stands on the street corner with his out stretched palm, do we give him a little handful of water?
    "It's a mini-wave!"
Oh my garsh! This is what we used to do on campouts when somebody fell asleep first, put warm water on his hand to make him wet the bed!
I'm sure NOBODY has ever done this before? hahaha!
(put the water on the sleeper's hand, I mean)

    Good Mourning, Gang!

I haven't been on in about a week I think. My husband was off work for two weeks' vacation so we had to do some stuff around the house. We did get some new furniture. So now we have a purple couch and loveseat sitting in our living room. Purple???? Maybe its a mid-life crisis...OR...maybe it will look really cool with orange for Halloween! Either way, it was in the clearance section of the furniture store and beats the heck out of the old ripped up sofa we had. My daughter is getting prepared to go to the prom on the 15th. She got a really sexy black dress with loooooong black gloves. She will look like a movie star! Five couples are all going together in a limo. The prom is being held in Chicago at the Field Museum of Natural History. That's the museum that has all the mummies. The museum hosts a lot of formal events.

Have to take my collie dog to the vet today. He's got some kind of abscessed growth on his "private area" (not neutered--but may be by week's end???) Anyway, I'm pretty worried about him.

Our weather has been pretty crummy. Really cold and windy. We were supposed to get to 85 today, but then they changed the forecast to basically: It may be warm...or Not; it may rain...or Not; we may have severe storms...or Not!!! So who knows???

Rotting, glad you're back from your trip and had a good time.

Cinders, welcome back! I always wanted to see that museum but the wife and her brothers took me to the Museum of science and technology instead! At least I got to see Soldier Field on our way back. Then her brothers got lost in their own town! I actually lead them out of Downtown because I have a great sense of direction outside of buildings and showed them which way was west. I guess they don't spend much time downtown.

Moon, send me some HOT BOILED PEANUTS. No one here in Colorado seems to know what those are. Use to get them all the time at Jacksonville Beach!

We are in a bit of that S.W. heat wave. We were near 90 yesterday! I hate it when Colorado weather goes from winter to summer overnight! Last Thursday it was snowing and in the 30's!

    Where did everybody go today????

    IT IS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read a funny letter about the upcoming Star Wars episode III. Some person was upset that there was a principal character gonna do a topless scene. Outside of the "Quicker than a jedi's reflexes" scene with the Twi'lek slave girl in Jabbas' Palace in "Return of the Jedi" there has never been a nude scene in any Star Wars film. A rep from the magazine "Star Wars Insider" replied about the topless scene as,"...The topless character isn't likely to offend, despite HIS wholly unintentional and regretable wardrobe malfuntion!"

Come to think of it, Chewbacca never wore more than a bandolier, Jabba the Hutt did all his scenes naked, those Ewoks pranced around the forest wearing only necklaces and head dresses.
That singer in Jabbas' Palace wore nothing but beads.
