Hi all. Nothing much happening at home but at work things are stirring. Without getting into all the politics here's how the story goes. My old boss, who's fallen out of favor with the 'in ' crowd has been sent to 3rd shift in a different department. ( first shift had two bosses, second and third in this department have none. We're all machine operators and craftsmen and are expected to be self governing. It works. ) My old boss was a joke. He did everything he could to avoid work. It's all politics on first shift. As long as he was in the 'in' crowd that was fine. OOops. He has his favorites on first that fallow in his philosophy of not needing to work. Our new boss ( boss number two on fist shift ) is a no holds barred get the job done ex marine. He's so far (5 years now) had nothing to do with the politics and has a real problem with a** kissers. I've worked with (but not for) this guy in the past. We get along fine. He can keep up with me. Am I the only one here who sees a few unhappy people of first shift? Well I guess that's the end of this episode of "As the factory churns" LOL

David Good to hear from ya. Hope your journeys been a blast.

    good morning Putrid

I think every job has it's "politics" don't you? I tend to sit back and watch the show....Avoid the gossip & in my line of work I do NOT go out and party with anyone I work with!

I have had no water since I woke up. My leasing office is run by tweedle dum & tweedle dee... "have you checked my pump"--says me...Dumb a$$ in office..."I don't know he is out on the grounds right now" Me--"I have had no water since I WoKE up had to send the kids to school without brushing their teeth or washing up, could we PLEASE at leastfind out what is wrong?"
Dumb A$$--"yes maam I'll tell him you have no water".....Gawd I DID that at 7am!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr

    the joys of renting.

"OOOOH I HATE POLLITICS!" A few years ago, I was working for a now dead company (Payless cashways) and I had the opertunity to become the Delivery Manager. There were only two of us bidding on that job, myself (12 yrs. experience in the truck driving field) and a (Yard Dog) forklift operator.
This yard dog spent alot of his time kissing the bum of the store manager, so much so that if this manager stopped suddenly, he would have broken his nose. I on the other hand , would come in, grab my deliveries, and would be gone most of the day!
I had my interview with this guy and two weeks later he told me that my interview was impressive but he was giving the job to the yard dog.
I asked him how he believed that a guy who lost his license due to D.U.I. was expected to be incharge of professional drivers. Basically it came down to one question. What is the most important concern for a delivery manager?
    I said SAFTY!
He said SALES! That is what a store manager wants to hear. If I followed him around for weeks, I probly would have known that answer too, but as I told the manageras I walked away,"What good is a $2000 dollar sale, if the driver causes $20,000 dollars in damage!"

"The last thing you will hear on your way to hell, is your guts snappin' like a bullwhip!"

Good afternoon y'all! Today it's finally slowed down some, so I can breath a little. I'm lucky enough to work in a small office (only 6 employees) so politics are pretty limited here.

Pictures! I want Pictures!! LOL (but only if you fix the zipper)

The politics used to bother me a lot. Now I just sit back and laugh at them. There's a reason why we're number 40 out of 43 plants. Why machines that work wonders for other people don't work at all here. Why nothing gets done and when problems arise the blame is shifter to someone not in the 'in' crowd. That way the problem can go unchecked and become 'no one's' fault. (LMAO) Why we have a boss that, as an employee, was involved in a sexual harassment suit against the company. He's a boss because his daddy is in the 'in' crowd. Oh, by the way, we do have a NO NEPITISM clause in the company wide rule book. Yes folks, there's a reason why there's a 60%+ turn over rate. But the good news is our hapless CEO always thinks it's a money problem so those of us who stick around get good raises. My pay scale has more than doubled in 8 years. LMAO!!!!!

I wish I could say the same for the public school system. The teachers are underpaid, the classrooms are WAY too crowded, the students don't give a rat's butt if they get a freakin'education(at least 1/2 of them)...THEN they try to control the "substitute".Fortunately,I've worked under the most meanest and backstabbing supervisors in the phone company so I've developed a real thick skin.

    Good morning! [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/042.gif[/image]
[image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/hump.gif[/image] day for some of you, middle of the week for us others

Hope you are all well on this gorgeous Florida morning.[image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/050.gif[/image] We are at about 60, looks as tho it is going to be a spectacular day!

Had a great day off!! DH had over 40 hrs, needed to get a tire fixed on the car...so he was home around noon.
That sure was a different experience, both of us here at the same time [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/cool/cool17.gif[/image]. We went to Albertson's got some really fantastic NEW York Strips, local grown sweet corn and some of our very favorite expensive beer. (Don't laugh at me I LOVE Tequiza!) Spent all afernoon drinkin, and grillin, playin with the kids.

    MUCH NEEDED.

I heard from DAVID via e-mail. He will be at his parents until the end of the week. Then begins his long journey across country. If you guys could all keep him in your hearts[image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/love/1273.gif[/image] & thoughts that he has a safe and wonderous passage I know it'll be appreciated!

Ahhhhh, The beautiful May, full moon was up high and bright in the sky last night. [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/1074.gif[/image] I know we are all of different Faiths, which is totally acceptable and respectable in my book.

I will convey (as JACK REAPER & Di-Ellen can attest to) there are just some of us that *KNOW* our Path from the Earth & Universe.
There is something about Meditation & Skyclad Rituals under a full moon. I know after I finished my time outside last evening I felt an inner peace I have not in so long....I carry it with me this morning as in all the mixed mess of emotions that have me totally unbalanced I have been feeling has floated away, saying "All will be OK now"-- good feeling! [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/045.gif[/image]Also, some answers to many things bothering me and knocking me "out of sync" So many CHANGES this year and it is ONLY May....I need to "ride the wave" instead of trying to control the direction...... [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/mad/359.gif[/image]

So what's up my friends? [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/love/458.gif[/image]

Gabbie and I are home today. I need downtime before dam Spaghetti night [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/mad/695.gif[/image] at the restuarant. I am hoping it also being Cinco de Mayo there will be some FUN thrown in for good measure. [image]http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/143.gif[/image]. The $$ are usally good, but the night is pretty boring & busy.

ROD--Baby, the whole school system of the US is like that, not just Virginia! I know MANY good teachers. We expect too much from our teachers anymore. How the hell can the TEACH when 90% of the time they are babysitting and disciplining. Really hurts the kids that are THERE to learn....We won't even go INTO WHAT teachers spend out of pocket due to lack of funding in the Public School Sector.

OKay guys gotta answer Dave's mail

Hugs & kisses and but of course, Spankings & scratches (halloween themed )
