This is truly horror story week.

I can say at least that my week is going better. Short week, people are sick that I am supposed to train and who knows what else. I need a beer in a bad way.

A good thing is that the LIGHTNING WON AGAIN!! EEEEEKKKKEEEEDD out a win for sure but at least they won.

This Van Helsing movie looks like it might blow. ALL CGI, blah! You can keep it, should be a good cable film. I doubt I'll blow any cash on this one.

The wave of the remakes is about to start. I was reading through Fangoria magazine last night and I saw that about 13 out of 20 horror films slated for release this year and early next are going to be REMAKES!!! Please get a friggin original idea people!!! Yes, I liked the Dawn of the Dead remake but does everything have to be remade?!?!?

There are tons of books that I read that would make GREAT movies!!! Try Richard Laymon, Edward Lee, Robert R McMammon or a host of other writers that I read on a regular basis! All of them are GREAT!!! Full of original horror ideas etc... No, Hollywood would rather remake and remake and remake, boring!

I love horror but it really is not to telling when all they do is churn out remakes. Ugh! The only good news I heard was that Dario Argento is working on his new movie and it is back to the giallo films that he is known for!!! That I can't wait to see although it won't be released in America until sometime next year. The film comes out in Italy in October! He is totally original and I can't wait to see that one! Finally, a new Dario film!!! It takes him usually about 4 years to shoot them because they are such big productions!

Alright, I feel better now, I just don't understand it sometimes though. BE ORIGINAL and stop copying old stuff. One example is 2000 Maniacs is being remade! Herschell Gordon Lewis? HUH? Not exactly the king of film. I love his cheesy gore epics but why that one?

They should do Robert R. McGammons' "Swan Song"
    Or "They Thirst"

I have to agree with Jack! "Swan Song" would be an awesome film. That book came out at the same time that Stephen King's book "The Stand" came out, but no one ever heard of it. King's book is by far inferior. I know lots of people love King, but after reading some of his books and comparing them against authors like McGammon or Laymond, King just doesn't stand up.

That's my take anyway. "They Thirst" was the first book I read by him and it scared the you-know-what out of me the first time. Especially the part about the vampires staying in an apartment complex with regular people and they were huddled under the beds in rooms adjorning us regular folks. Eeeek! Both are great books if you have never read them, along with a lot of his earlier writings.

I'll be honest DEAR, when "A Boy's Life" came out I was upset that he deserted the horror genre. It was kind of like John Carpenter using Halloween, the Fog and The Thing to make all of his cash so he could do "real" projects. I hate when people use horror to make them big and then they spit back at it. Peter Jackson has done the same in some ways, although I do like the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. It just would be great if he would have directed "Swan Song!" He could do it right!

Don't use horror to make your name and then desert it! I know Carpenter came back to horror in 1987 with "Prince of Darkness" but that was only because "Escape from New York" didn't do as well as he wanted it to. Ah, off my soapbox, NEXT!

    Hi-ya Gang,
My, what people can show up when you're away for a couple of days.

    My car is dead too.

Finally going to the Doctor today about my back, because I'm tired of constant pain and totally random, blinding, ear ringing, knee buckling spazims.

Got down to freezing here Sunday night, had to go out and cover up all our freshly planted plants. Today it's getting into the 80's then after tonight's cold front comes in, there will be rain, then we won't make it past 60 for the rest of the week. Possible snow on Sunday.

I just finished reading the Ilyiad by Homer, I wanted to read it before the movie 'Troy' came out. It's not scary, but it sure has a lot of dead people in it.

    Take care everyone.

Wow...I sure am sorry to see that everyone has had such and increadibly rotten week. Mine has been, so far anyway, the kind where you're so busy that you can't actually remember what you did. Sure do miss the leisurely mornings of talking with all of you from my home computer. But I can't anymore since I don't have the internet. Come to think of it, day after tomorrow I won't have a home, either!

Well, we are thinking the alternator is the reason for the problem. The voltage it was putting out is very low. Now, in Mt Dora we do things different then the rest of the world...time moves much slower. I do say tho, I hope he has my car finished by this afternoon. Larry will be working extremly late (but, of course, my day off). I told the kids if the car was fixed I'd take them to dinner.

The week of MONDAY continues....All I got to say about that --was my boss was severly [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/pmsbitch.gif[/image] or needed some Prozac bad, last night!---then it's all said and done. Invites me over to her house for a beer after work [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/hm.gif[/image].

I tend to believe it was a SADISTIC test.... as in "I know this person has had a gawd awful week, let's see what we can PILE on and if she will crack"---wierd shiat.

    I made it....I am tired.

I am having [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/coffeebreak.gif[/image] and gonna do some laundry.

How about you guys, any better?

I am handing out [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/hug2.gif[/image] for those in need and [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/hump.gif[/image] for those who need it MORE.

Better,...wellllll the doctor gave me drugs yesterday. Nothing serious mind you, but over the last 12 hours I have noticed I stare at things a lot longer than usual.

    Good morning by the way.

Hi all. Not much going on around here. David. I really hope this new journey your about to take leads you to a more fulfilling life then the one you have to leave behind.

Looks like I may be heading down to southern MO. over the weekend with my father in-law. Going to help him take care of things at his dad's house. They sent over a bunch of suits and cloths for me to try on. You know how creepy it is to wear clothing from someone you just berried a week ago? The clothing that didn't fit will go to people who can use them. Sorry no props to be made from this stuff. It's weird, other peoples dead relative's clothing is OK but my own I can't see myself doing. Oh well, plenty of yard sales between now and October.

    IT IS SNOWING AGAIN!!!!!!!
I awoke this morning to 34 degrees and the white stuff falling. Yesterday it was 80.

No big deal though! 'Tis not Beltane yet.Snow only becomes a real problem after May 1st.
Makes it hard to job hunt though.
