Nozoki, I am soo jealous. Thomas's brother Randall is my great Granfather. Well a few moe greats but you catch the drift. My Aunt and cousin have signed the desendent book. I hope to be able to visit there and do the same.

Hey Gravedigger--I have checked the Hauntcon web site to see what it was all about. I should go since it's so close. Most of those conventions seem to always be in Atlanta, New York, etc. Plus I originally had plans for that weekend that just fell through. Maybe...... You plan on going?

Jim Warfield is located at...I forgot my GPS co-ordinates! They gave a guy being buried on the hill next door GPS co-ordinates so they could have a fly-over for him.
I live in the town of Mount Carroll, Illinois which is in the northwestern corner of this big state(as big as France!) We are a mere ten miles from the Mississippi River (rumor has it that Iowa is on the other side of that river!)
My haunted house ( hauntedravensgrin.com)is in downtown Mount Carroll a block and a half west of Rt. 78.
My house is located at the edge of a small cliff that drops down to the river, I'm surrounded by city parking lots on the other three sides, looking at the back doors of the downtown store buildings, it's as if I'm living way out in the country most of the time.
Numerous wild critters live over the cliff in the woods and the aforementioned city graveyard is to the west on the next hill, 6,500 graves reside there including almost all of my family members.
We are 2 1/2 hours due west of Chicago on rt 64. Come and see the house (that's really haunted) that I have now owned and spent almost everyday working on for the last 17 years.
This part of the world is beautiful, valleys, hills, cliffs, rivers, woods, all sort of uncomon compared to the majority of this state which is pretty flat.
Open for tours almost every night of the year and Sat. and Sun. afternoons from 2 to 5, besides the 7pm to 12 midnight hours.
Right now before it gets too busy I give people the option in the first room as to whether they wish to hear me tell them the complete haunted history of this house or not?
It requires some time and energy on my part to tell it and the tour ends up taking about 90 minutes, yes, 90 minutes! For $10.oo per person.
The rest of the tour doesn't have Hollywood monsters nor bloody, gorey stuff, but I have my own monsters to entertain you with along with special things I have built in the house. Very, very few things that you will see during a tour will you ever have seen somewhere else, whether it would be a store, another haunted house, or a trade show.
