    Well DEAR

I am absolute FAN for anything Kevin Smith does to begin with...my favorite of all time being the low Budget "clerks"...my ferrets are named Bartleby & Loki after the 2 fallen angels of DOGMA.

Moon, did I ever tell you how awesome you are?

Have you ever seen the 2 DVD special "An Interview With Kevin Smith"? I've always been a big Smith fan and I was almost hesitant to go see "Jersey Girl" because "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" was so disappointing and such a pain to watch.. I've loved ALL of his movies up until that. But so far "Jersey Girl" has been the most touching and well developed story I've seen from View Askew. I normally don't get all emotional during movies but "Jersey Girl" was a major tear-jerker, and it still had that Kevin Smith wit that made me laugh my off.

I saw Van Helsing this afternoon and loved it. The sets and special effects are great, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Don't listen to the naysayers who are urging you to avoid it. It's like an Indiana Jones and horror movie rolled into one with a little camp thrown in for fun. The monsters are great and Hugh Jackman is terrific as the lead. (Note to the ladies: he looks hunky both in and out of his clothes). Kate Beckinsdale manages to look gorgeous and kick butt at the same time. All in all it's a very entertaining film. [8D] Can't wait to see the attraction based on it at Universal Studios.

I also bought the collector DVDs of Frankenstein and Wolfman just released by Universal. They're a great value at Target for $19.99 and they include lots of extras.

Thanks Sam. Van is next on my list. Today I saw 13 going on 30. It was great. Jennifer Garner was awesome, and I'm not usually a fan. Lots of 80's nostalgia too. How undressed was Hugh? Just curious because I sure wouldn't want to see anything inappropriate!

Van Helsing looks dumb. I think that to many movies are dumb. Never mind.

Note to Vicki: He's not that undressed. Think Tarzan and you'll get the picture. It's certainly not inappropriate...nothing more than you see on some TV shows. I haven't seen 13 Going on 30 but I would like to.

Crazymjb: Yes, there are a lot of movies that are dumb. But I think people who enjoy monster movies would enjoy this flick. If you choose to miss it because you don't like the previews, that's your choice.

sorry but i didn't like this movie. The plot line was pretty thin in regards to myths of vampires, and the other mosters but i kind of expected this from the preview. I thought the action would make up for lack of story line but it didn't seem to. maybe i excpected too much. There were definately some cool special effects but just not enough to save the movie.

Went to see it on Saturday and took my 11 year old son - we both tought it was good. It's not really meant for our haunting/halloween crowd, we can be pretty critical of our favorite subjects. But it's a good flick, especially if you can go with a group and share a pitcher or two, while the movie is running.
