Well another day another dollar. Woke up to rain and really strong winds around my hotel room in Doral this morning. Weather forecast was for possible tornadoes etc. Needless to say, no running for me this morning. I'll just really push myself the rest of the week and go further than normal.
Cooler air is about to hit Florida and knock us down to the mid 70's during the day and mid 50's at night!! YEAH! It probably will be the last nice weather we will have before the heat starts to set in! It's that time of year after all, we have just had a GREAT 7 months of relatively mild winter weather. With only a few cool nights overall this weather has been splendid! I hate to see it go, oh well, it can only last so long. At least we have about another week of great temps.
Hope all is well with everyone this fine Tuesday morning.
ain't that the truth about the weather Rotting....
I mean usually I am into close to 200.00 power bills by now. I am lovin not using the AC.
Well I am off for a VERY quick trip to wally world.... Larr & Andi have that trip to Islands of Adventure tomorrow and my daughter would like one of those disposable cameras.

Hey Moon, I saw Scooby Doo 2 as well over the weekend and really enjoyed it! Speaking of "teen" jokes, my favorite was right at the beginning, when each member of Mystery Inc was meeting their fans. Did you notice Shaggy taking a big "sniff" before locating his fans? LOL My wife and I loved that part, but my nephew didn't notice of course.

Good Morning Everyone.
I don't like to admit this, because people usually look at me like I'm crazy, but I never liked Scooby Doo as a kid. The only part I liked was the opening part with the song, then I was turning that big knob on the tv just as fast as I could. There I said it, I hope you all don't think less of me.
I did however, for some reason, enjoy the first movie. And am glad to hear that number two has some good things in it.
I hope you are all well. [image]http://adwoff.com/ubb/graemlins/big-nod-yes.gif[/image]
Not much up this way. Slow last night .
My husband and oldest are going to "Islands of Adventure" today for her 7th grade feild trip,[image]http://adwoff.com/ubb/graemlins/9b-bouncer.gif[/image] pretty cool, huh? [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/wakkodance.gif[/image]
No Scooby huh Sivart? I like the FIRST run Scooby myself before they added all the crap (like scrappy) to the cartoon. This movie was cool because they used a lot of the old "villains". [image]http://members.aol.com/ravenlurks/woohoo.gif[/image]
cold this morning here....I mean 47 with a wind chill of 40 is unheard of here in April. I love it, too wierd! [image]http://www.gotwoodnow.com/angela/smilz/blowkiss.gif[/image]

Well, I finally broke down and saw Dawn of the Dead last night! I have to say that I really liked it and I was the pessimistic one going into this movie. I really loved the original and recently watched it which made me want to see this one even more.
So, overall, it was a fun take at the whole zombie genre. It was lighter in content than the original Dawn of the Dead with less political stuff and more just outright action. It was really fun and even though the story was lifted from other films (Night of the Living Dead, Zombie, Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later) it still had a kind of originality to it.
The music was really "interesting" to say the least. I was really surprised that this film didn't get an X rating for violence, while it wasn't displayed for as long as the first one (ex. the Zombie losing the top of his head by the helicopter blades and then continuing to walk for a little while) this one showed the gore and then moved along, almost as if to make your mind see some of the action.
There were some really energetic scenes and rarely did the movie slow down. It was frenetic but thoroughly enjoyable and a lot of great set-ups as well. I am truly surprised! It didn't use too much CGI and went for more traditional ways to maim and mutilate!
Well anyway, aside from that, the weather is gorgeous in Miami and we are only supposed to hit the mid-70's today! YIPEE! I have a bad feeling that this is the last that we will see of this type of stuff this year. The heat is only days away, I'm sure. That's about all I have today. I had to throw in my two cents on the flick and aside from that, it's work, work, work.
I'll be ready to get back to somewhere where I speak the language. It really is like being in a different country when you are in South Florida. I really wish I knew Spanish so that way I could hear and understand what people are saying. Sure most of the people are bilingual but when you are at the mall (where I saw the film) everyone is speaking, Spanish, Creole, French, etc...
One more day in this office, everyone is speaking Spanish here so I have no clue what is going on and then I will be in a meeting all day tomorrow in Boca, I won't be able to even check in and then back to St Pete on FRIDAY!!! Whew, another week has almost ended, amazing!
Good Morning.
Yeah those were the Scooby episodes I actually watched, then they started bringing in Batman and Robin and the 3 Stooges and Larel and Hardy and I became less interested, so by the time Scrappy Doo and Scooby Dum came along I just could'nt do it anymore. I always liked the idea of Scooby Doo, but it was just too repeditive for me. Not just the story lines but the animation was used over and over again, it's pretty bad to be 7 years old and to notice that when Velma lost her glasses, it looked exactly the same as the last time she lost her glasses just the back ground had changed.
Of course the 70's were a dark period in cartoon animation as it was.
I'm a nerd.
Anyway, did I say good morning yet? How are you?
It's going to be 70's today and we need rain. My back still hurts and the coffee's done. Back in a sec.
I know MANY people that moved out of Dade county when it became almost mandatory to speak Spanish to get work
The best saying for a long time was..."Will the last American to leave Miami please take the Flag."
It would be funny if it wasn't true......
