Hi, gang. Here I am back at the public library, checking in with you all. I set up a storage place last weekend in the desert near my parents. It's a new place, but the rent's cheap since it's in the middle of nowhere. Now all I have to do is fill up a truck and drive all the stuff out there. Then I'll put everything in the rear view mirror and head out on a great adventure.

But for now, I'm packing the last of the boxes and getting some service done on my Saturn prior to departure time.

I miss having my DSL at home though! Since I really miss all my friends on the forum.

We miss you, too and hope you are back online with us soon. You've got to be back on by fall, so we can spend the halloween season together. It just won't be the same without you.

Glad to hear the super phone is, well, super. It would be awesome if you could get it rigged up to the net.

In reply to your email...Yes, it is finally spring in Maine. (Or, as most Mainers call it "Mud Season") The last bits of snow are gone and the landscape is finally visible. I think it's time for me to take a couple of days off...rake out the flower beds, bring out the deck furniture and fire up the grill.

The black flies and mosquitos will be out soon, but I have a secret weapon...killer chickens! And they, BTW, are in heaven with the lovely weather we've been having.

Your package will be a little later than planned, as I have taken the liberty of including a "Sample" of Maine humor. But it will still reach you in plenty of time.

Take care that you don't strain anything important while lifting all those packed props. That wouldn't be good. [}]

OMG, YES!!! I totally know about headless MIke! You must have watched that PBS specail about chickens...we loved it so much that I picked up a copy on EBAY.

So, Di, the killer chickens take out the flies and mosquitoes, do they? But how would headless Mike eat flies without a head? And what would the hens think of him? I mean, he might be able to neck with them, but he's not getting much further than that without a pecker, is he?

I'm sorry, this whole subject is getting a bit fowl, isn't it?

Oh, btw, the car is in great shape and the boxes are nearly all packed. In eight days I'll be hitting the road! In the meantime, I can hardly wait to see what you're sending!

Hi Halloween guy! I am totally bummed that I didn't get your package out to you in time!!! Waa! It's just been so hectic here. However, as soon as you land at Moon's house I will send it out to you. I'll throw in a loaf of bread, too, so that you two can break bread together...hmmm, I wonder how my bread tastes when accompanied by Captain Morgans?

Do you have an address for your folks place-I'd like to stay in touch. I don't 'spose they are online are they? THAT would be great! If not, a mailing address is good, too.

BTW, I did do a little candle magic for you this week...hope you have a ball!
