Thread: Need thoughts and prayers from my macabre friends

Hi everyone. I usually don't ask this but I feel like I need all the extra thoughts and prayers that I can get. My Dad is going in for radiation treatment on Wednesday for prostate cancer. He'll be in the hospital Wednesday and Thursday and I'll be up there with him so I probably won't check this post until Friday. I know I'm new here and it may seem odd that I'm asking for prayers from stangers but I think every little bit helps!! I think cancer has touched pretty much everyones lives at some point and right now i'm scared more than any haunted house or scary movie ever did.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Thoughts, prayers, and good karma coming you way, my friend. And even when it's strangers praying for you, it still counts with the powers that be, right?

Di-Ellen. You are awesome. I feel better reading this. I usually post messages on here from work. I didn't think I could get on here at home because I tried to get into a website called Homehauntersofamerica and it took me here to this forum! I couldn't remember the name of this website! I have it saved in my favorites at work. I'm so dense sometimes.I wasn't sure to even post this after that suicide hoax. I mean some people really posted some touching messages to someone they thought needed help. I think some people will have a wall up now. Which I can't blame them for. When you open yourself up and get screwed, then its hard to open up again. I'm such a baby when it comes to my Dad anyway. I'm an only child (a 29 year old child) so I try to be there for him. He's a good role model for my son too. My Dad has to be on a liquid diet until Thursday!!! I love the macabre but thats the sickest most scary thing i've ever heard!!! [] Anyway, Di-Ellen if you ever need prayers you just let me know! I'm there for you! I truly believe in the power of prayer.

You want prayers, you got em. My dad went through chimo, I don't usually pray to much but I did then and I will now. Best of luck to him.

I don't mind dead people. It's the ones who stick around that give me the creeps.

I am a cancer survivor-been in remission for almost 2 years now with non hodgkins lymphoma. I know what what your going through, my prayers are with you and your family, just remember, your not alone, there are so many support groups and friends like us there for you!

[V]I give u all my prayers and thoughts and i'm going to pray the Lord. I hope ur dad will be okay.[:0] My grandmother had cancer and she did of it and then they came out with a new thing to treat cancer. I don't know what it is but they say it will work. well u have my prayers.

Hope your dad comes through ok. It can be beat, that's for sure. My mom hade lung cancer and the chemo and radiation knocked it out. Then she got throat cancer a year later and thought she migh lose her voice box, but once again, the chemo and radiation kicked the cancer's ass. She's doing good now, but we were scared for a while. Anyways, just wanted you to hear something that might give you some hope and lessen the worry.
