Right The majority shown look horrendous to begin with; I can't even imagine them years later

You know some of them aren't badly done, that one of Conan is pretty well done. Now would I put any of them on my body anywhere? No. Misspelled & fugly portraits are the worst. I always wonder what people think when they bring in a pic of someone & then when the artist finishes it looks absolutely nothing like the pic. Do they just say "Oh it looks great" & then cry all the way home or do they really think it looks good?

I think it's the choice of the tattoos for some of them, rather than the quality, though there are more terrible ones than good ones. The cat one is horrendous, as are the ones involving nipples, armpit hair, and the "b***h" tattoo.

I thought about getting a tattoo for years, and finally got one that has multiple special meanings for me: a rose (from the cover of Depeche Mode's Violator). The rose is special because it represents music that means the world to me, it's my favorite flower, as well as the favorite of someone dear to me who passed away, and roses are an important symbol in my writing. Since it's a flower (on my calf where it's easy to cover it up), it will age with me, and look ready to die when I am

Good choice, Dark Passenger. Much better than just putting any old thing on one's body and attempting to pass it off as 'art'.
