Yah, so it's been an "interesting" week before Halloween here in my household. On Monday, my hubby and I go downstairs to find our main floor in our house in water. Seems a pipe outside our home broke and the water looked for the exit with the least amount of resistance which was our downstairs toilet. This wasn't just water either..... this was water with ummmmm .... lets just say nasty floaty things in it!
Thankfully our insurance will cover any damages done by the water but we still have a thousand dollar deductible and a few grand we need to pay out of pocket to have the pipe fixed.
They came and gutted out all the base-boards and flooring and we spent this whole week with a dozen industrial size fans running to dry everything out. It was like living in a wind tunnel for a week.
Sorry.... just had to vent. lol

Oh man - that's HORRIBLE. You sound like a really strong lady though - you still got your sense of humour but it must be really emotionally draining, especially at the best time of the year. I definitely woulda been using a lot more cursing pumpkin smileys.

"Just had to vent"? Pun intended? LOL Sorry, had to say it....
So they removed the baseboard? Might be a good idea to check behind some of the drywall behind said baseboard - drywall tends to suck up water & molds easily. I'd had for you to have to deal with this months down the line....It'd be more hassle & work now, but best fix it if need be...The studs in the wall can be cleaned with mold cleaner....Good luck!!I didn't make him for you!... He carries the Charles Atlas seal of approval.
It's not easy having a good time! Even smiling makes my face ache!
