Got a new boss, just had it out with him yesterday about halloween vacation. I got the whole explanation on why we can get time off and why we can't. First time in 11 years my halloween may be in limbo. I posted on facebook about it and someone i thought was my friend informed him about my complaint. Holy rollie. Maybe I should tell him I have church that night. I am so bummed out right now. This is my last year working at that darn place. Tired of dealing with the crap.

Dang, that sux.
Would this be a bad time to ask if you'd like to loan out your coffin this year? j/k

Have a new boss and have it out with him in the same sentence isn't good. I hate when ya think you can call someone your friend to find otherwise. To bad he already knows you want off......you could have come down with something or it was something you ate! Maybe he will change his mind, you have some time yet! Hope it works out for you!

i'd quit. lol but seriously,that is the dumbest thing ive heard.if there isnt already the maximum number of people off,who gives a @#$% what your reason for needing off is. im assuming your salary and arent given an alotted amount of time off every year.i'd be looking for a new job without such a controlling atmosphere

How sh*tty... especially about the 'friend'. Sorry, BLAKKHEART. I hope that things work out and you manage to get the night off somehow.

And thus the reason I tell people not to use Facebook, eventually it will get back to someone you don't want seeing it, even if you make it private. People always tell me "Well I just won't do anything like that." But the temptation is there, like keeping brownies all over the kitchen when you're on a diet. Bad, bad idea.

I don't mean to sound like I'm being snarky - I don't know what your company policy is - but my company definitely has a policy about what you can and can't put on the internet about work. The policy gives specific reference to social networking sites. Does your company have something like this? Even if not, it's just not a good idea to post complaints about work on the internet. People can be pretty two-faced, unfortunately that's a fact of life.

He's upset that I didn't come to him. I just asked for time off and he gave me lip about wanting that time off. Come to find out, he said he was just joking. When a man tosses you a schedule and smuggly says" don't ask me for anything else", what would you think he meant. I talked about it on facebook to my friends and one of the ass kissers came back and told him. It wasnt an attack on him but as things always get turned around by some dip$#!+, he took it as one. I didnt mention names, just said that me and the boss didnt agree and that I didnt like his attitude. For some reason he can't understand why I don't want to manage my own auto parts store. And all our conversation come back to that. Sorry but if I wanted to be manager I would have been long ago. He said I should have made manager 5 years ago. I'm sorry but I believe that when you become manager you have to work harder than he is putting forth. And with my health I dont think I can do all that I feel is needed to be a good manager. Its not just sitting in your office, its creating new customers and more. He's a good manager but he's a corporate man all the way. Eats, sleeps and craps auto parts. I'm sorry if I havent done enough with my life but I do not want to manage a retail store. Its got its ups and downs. Sorry if I stepped on some toes.

P.S. I'm still gonna do something. So no on the coffin creepycathy. LOL
