We noticed this nasty, little guy on a friend's car in the shop. Watched him for the better part of an hour, spinning his web on the wheel, then sitting, waiting... and consequently, posing.

Of course, I'm terrified of spiders, I do however, respect them. Had a difficult time putting my Nikon that close to the beast with my fingers on the focus ring, millimeters from his spiny, twitchy body.

The car's name is Evil. I named him Lucifer.

Might be a bit early, but he is my background image.

That's great! My husband knows I like spiders, so when he sees one in a great web like this, he takes pictures for me.
I remember one year around Halloween there was a spider in her web outside on our back sliding door. It was great, I could watch her spinning. One day I forgot all about this spider, opened the door, and severely hurt the poor dear. I was so distraught I cried for hours. In one stupid move I lost my Halloween buddy. It was awful, to say the least. I beat myself up about it for days...

I could be wrong here, as I am not spider expert, but that appears to be an Orb Weaver Spider. They are one of the most common spiders around and completely harmless. Cool pictures!

Spiral Spider, I'm sorry you lost your friend!

We had an enormous brown spider living in the upper corner of the awning, just above the front door. "Fred" was there most of the Summer, Fall and into the Winter... but unfortunately, one day I looked up to say "Hello" and there was a dime sized hole in the snow, just below his home.

He ate many bugs. Good friend.

That's sad...especially since Fred was around for so long. Maybe you can transplant your new pal to a similar location, he'd be Fred II.

I'm guessing a Firebird with arp wheel studs, saftey wired axle, large Hoosiers front and rear so a track day car? Whatever it is it looks fun. If you keep the spider the web could be ruled and illegal aerodymic device.

Sorry, first thing I noticed were those big fat Hoosiers. But the spider is cute too!

Haha, thanks! It's a 96 Eagle Talon TSI. Run's low 10's. Spider has good taste!

I particularly like this one in front of the Mausoleum
