Hey guys. It has been a long month for me. It all started out was me having a urinary track infection (UTI). Except I wasn’t getting any better. I had an awful urgency to go to the bathroom only to dribble less and less and less. At first, there was no pain of any kind, just that urgency to go to the bathroom. But I had no energy to do anything; I was feeling achy, started getting sore and tried and slow walking. July 5th, went to E.R. and they gave me med that made me peed orange for the weekend. Not kidding. Didn’t even improve a dang bit.
I knew something was wrong, was thinking “okay, maybe I didn’t fully healed as I thought” So I went to the E.R. on July 12th with the Dr. telling me I do not have UTI and as long I could pee, even if its just dribbling I would be fine. Then came July 15th, and I went back to the E.R. with them still scratching their heads at me. Suggested me to see urologist and made an appt with my family dr. with my dr telling me I maybe needed to retrain my peeing which to I replied I was doing pretty damn good for the first 33 years of my life.
Then she sch me a cat scan just to make sure nothing else is wrong. I waited until Monday July 18th for my CAT scan appt, then my hubby took me home and I broke down and cried. This was my breaking point. Silver Lady, my Mom was so fed up with this. We know something is wrong and we can’t figure it out what it was. Mom said that is it, we are going back to the E.R. Meanwhile, my dr. is calling me and leaving 4 panicking messages on the machine to call back now. My mom was on the way to take me to E.R. It was good thing we pointed out that I had a cat scan done earlier that day. Because the E.R. Dr. asked if we saw the surgeon yet to which I said “No”. The E.R. Dr. was mad at the lab tech that did my cat scan and said goodbye to me without telling me I need to talk to the surgeon “NOW!”
It turn out that I have disease calls Diverculitosis and it had abscessed, pushing on my bladder which is why it had confuse the crap out of the Dr. in the first place. The very next day, I went in to have drainage tube to be put in to cont’ draining out the pus. In 6 weeks I will have operation to cut out the area where I abscessed at. I came home Friday, So, I am still hurting but slowly getting better and Very much relieved that we finally found out what was wrong with me.

Oh wow, diverticulitis can be very serious. And it must have been bad if they need to drain it. Sometimes dealing with doctors and medicine can be so frustrating. And I'm sure the multiple trips to the ER weren't cheap either. The orange pee was probably rifadin.
I'm glad you're feeling better and that they figured out what was wrong so you can stop worrying. Keep us updated!- Katie

NOWHINING!!! I am so sorry to hear that girlfriend! That must have been so painful and so depressing to be told there is nothing wrong with you when clearly there was! Girl I am sending you my very best get well purple glitter with a dash of lime green quick healing glitter for good measure. Thank God they found out what it was. Keep us posted and rest and take it easy.

Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Ugh, NOWHINING, how terrible! It's so hard to be in pain and have the doctors brush you off. The frustration makes everything worse.
I'm so happy that things were finally figured out, and that you have a strong diagnosis. Take care of yourself, we missed you around here! I'll be thinking my very best thoughts for you to have a peaceful recovery.
Thanks, SilverLady, for being such a wonderful mother!

At least now you know what's wrong with you & you can work on a treatment plan now.
I think you can control a lot of it with diet & meds. That's what my uncle & several people here at work do. So no more nuts for you!!Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

Sorry about your streak of bad luck, NOWHINING. Glad that you at least know what is wrong now, though. Good luck with the surgery.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick. How frustrating for you (and really dangerous, too) that it took them so long to find out what was wrong with you. This is bad enough, but if that abcess had ruptured.....
Get well soon, and remember your Halloween family is thinking of you!!
