Thread: Best Phone call Received today EVER!!

I have been kind of quiet the past year. I havent really made alot of props or been in the Halloween mood. I love Halloween and always will but I have had alot going on . I havent posted as much on here but wanted to share since this is my other family.
My mother who is my best friend has pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension they both affect your lungs. If you look them both up PF is fatal and PH can be but you can live longer. Well she has both, so it is an awful situation. She is 59 and so full of life yet . She was an active , independant, hard working woman. She had flipped houses using her own bare hands.
To see her on constant oxygen, wheelchair bound and crying because she cant breathe is well words cant describe. She is also alone since my parents are divorced.
Well now to the phone call... My mothers only hope is a lung transplant and it is a long process and alot of red tape. She got the call today that she has been cleared medically and after she completes her educational training on the transplant, (which is August 1st). SHE WILL FINALLY BE ON THE LIST!!!
We have been going through hoops to get her on the list since February.
This is my last hope and I am going to take it and run with it. I am so happy she has made it this far. I just wanted to share the best news a daughter can share.

Erin, you and your mother are in my thoughts, as well. I'm glad to hear that she will be put on the list soon. Hope things get better for the both of you.

Best of luck to you and your Mom. My dad had PF . He lived 4 years and in the end the pf didnt cause his death. He was on the transplant list and got the call about a year and a half ater he went on. He turned it down because he was doing so well. Then cancer got him...keep the faith

Lots of good thoughts and prayers that your mom gets her transplant very quickly!

Erin you and your Mom will be in my prayers. I am so glad that she got put on the list.....a step in the right direction and may it be soon that she gets that transplant! I know how hard it is to see your parent go from full of life to hanging on to life and so young. Hang in there and take it a step at a time.
