    Another great actor gone...

    Columbo, Murder by Death (my favorite movie of all time), The Cheap Detective, The In-Laws, and Grandpa from The Princess Bride - among the roles I've known and loved him for. He will be missed.

    Yeah, a terrific career for an actor with one eye! I thought it was so cool for him to be cast as the Grandfather in The Princess Bride. Many years ago I stumbled across him late one night playing a hitman in an old Black & White film. He was great. At the peak of his popularity, every singer, every athlete wanted to do an episode of Columbo. It was huge.
